Customizing Player Explorer
Did you know that you can customize the Player Explorer panel? If there are fields in the view of the player’s information that you normally don’t use, you don’t have to see them all of the time. You can choose which fields you want, and even put them in an order that you like. Let us show you how.
First, open TDM. Be sure that the Player Explorer panel is open and that you are able to locate the Customize button near the bottom of the screen.
NOTE: When TDM is first installed, the Player Explorer defaults to showing all of the available fields, and until you customize your view of the explorer, you will see every field in the list. You might want to review the list and decide which fields are not really necessary for you to have visible.
It is also important to note, that the Player Master info view and the Player info for this tournament view, can be customized differently from each other. There may be some fields that you want displayed for your master database that you may not need for a given tournament, and vise versa.
To begin customizing the Player Explorer, click on the Customize button. A new window will open that displays the Player Explorer properties, or the list of available fields. Choose if you want to configure both panels, or just the Player Master, or just the Player info for this tournament.
Now you can begin deselecting which fields you do not want to be displayed for either panel. You do this by highlighting the specific field and clicking on the hand symbol. You can move the field in either direction depending on which way the hand is pointing. The panels on the right will contain the fields that will be displayed. The fields that are moved to the left panels will not be displayed in the player explorer. Then when you have finished, click OK.
In addition, you can position each field in the order that best suits your needs. To move a field up or down in the Player Explorer, select the field to be moved and use the hands on the right of the panels that point up or down. Again, the Player Master and the Player info for this tournament can be displayed independently of each other. Note in the example that the Member ID has been moved down in the order in the player info for the tournament database. Click OK to save all changes.
