The Northern Colorado Breastfeeding Coalition is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to supporting, protecting, and promoting breastfeeding. Current research demonstrates that ethnic and racial minoritiesexperiencemorebreastfeedingobstaclesandhavelowerbreastfeedingrates. Other minority and underrepresented populations, such as those in the LGBTQ community, as well as low-income and rural women, often have limited access to high quality health care and education regarding infant nutrition.

As a part of our ongoing commitment to making breastfeeding education and support available in diverse communities the NCBC is offering scholarships to counselors, educators and breastfeeding supporters who work with communities that have historically lower breastfeeding rates and less access to support.
