Terms and conditions

Definitions: In these terms and conditions, ‘organiser’ means Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. ‘Exhibitor’ means any company occupying promotion space at Cornwall Business Fair 2018. ‘Venue’ means Truro School, Trennick Lane, Truro.

Contract: By completing this booking form you are confirming your company’s commitment to taking the space and that you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions.

Exhibition: The organiser reserves the right to alter the layout of the exhibition at any time without seeking prior approval by the exhibitor.

Security: Exhibitors are responsible for security of their own stand and its contents; the organiser takes no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items.

Health and safety: It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that staff and any other person working on their behalf is aware of current UK and European health and safety regulations. The exhibitor is responsible for the health and safety of their stand set-up, the Business Fair, and tear down.

Tear down: Exhibitors must clear their stand removing all rubbish and display items. Unwanted items left at the stand may result in charges associated with its disposal.

Stand items: Materials on the stand should comply with current safety and fire standards. Any items which do not comply should be checked with the organiser prior to the event taking place.

Damage: Costs for damages to the venue or the shell scheme will be passed on to the exhibitor.

Payment terms: Payment is due according to the terms stated in the invoice. Exhibitors with outstanding invoices prior to the event taking place may be not be permitted to exhibit.

Cancellation by the exhibitor: In the event that an exhibitor wishes to cancel their space booking, Cornwall Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to apply the following cancellation charges and to re-sell the space. Cancellation on or before 1st February 2018: No charge. Cancellation after 1st February 2018: 75% of the total stand cost will be charged.

Force majeure: If the event is cancelled, abandoned or suspended in whole or in part by reason of Force Majeure (a cause not within the control of the organiser) the organiser may repay the space rental paid bythe exhibitor, or part of the cost, but this will be at their discretion. The organiser is not under liability to the exhibitor in respect of costs or claims made to recover loses as a result of the event not taking place. The organiser recommends that event insurance should be taken out to protect exhibitors against associated cancellation costs.

Bankruptcy or liquidation: In the event of an exhibitor becoming bankrupt or insolvent or entering into liquidation orhaving a receiver, administrator, sequestrates or trustee appointed over any of its assets,the organisers shall be at liberty to terminate forthwith the contract with the exhibitor andthe terms and conditions relating to cancellation of space set out above shallapply.

Bankruptcy: In the event of an exhibitor becoming bankrupt or in the process of liquidation, the organisers can terminate the contract with the exhibitor and the standard cancellation process will then apply.

Each exhibitor shall be deemed to have full knowledge of the Terms and Conditions andis bound by them in all respects.
