JAVA Developer (Scrum, SOA)

With expertise in behaviour driven development in a SCRUM setting, development of a RESTful architecture with the use of Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) principles.

We currently have a vacancy for a JAVA Developer, fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Newport, South Wales, UK. The work will be carried out at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development Team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks:

·  Provision of a new online prototype digital service and implementation of a prototype back office solution to enable the client to process customer applications;

·  Development of a capability that can write/read information to/from a new repository, to manage customer applications;

·  Build in workflow functionality in order to optimize business process efficiencies;

·  Development of an online application facility, ensuring that appropriate records are stored on the customer database;

·  knowledge transfer to members of the client’s IT Team in a number of areas, capabilities and skill sets.

Your skills:

·  University degree with demonstrated experience in behaviour driven development using Java SE 7+, EE 6, Spring, Apache Tomcat and JBoss;

·  Hands on experience with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and Spring MVC;

·  Working experience with SOA Development Methodologies such as BPEL/BPM-Suite, Business Rules, JAX-RS, JAS-WS Web Services, Enterprise Service Bus or SOA Suite;

·  Experience in Activiti, DROOLS, SQL Server 2012+ and Filenet;

·  Excellent knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology;

·  Good knowledge of RESTful and SOA principles;

·  Knowledge of Eclipse, Subversion and JIRA;

·  Knowledge of "Digital by Default" GOV.UK guidelines will be considered an asset;

·  Fluency in both oral and written English.
