To be successful in this role you will already be experienced in providing administrative & event support. You will have experience of usingcustomer relationship management databases and prospect research to develop donor journeys. You will have good analytical skills and the ability to summarise relevant information quickly, accurately and in a concise format.
Main purpose of role
To develop and maintain the major donor pipeline and identifyprospective donors, working closely with the Development Manager.To undertake proactive research and administration support to include Raiser’s Edge record keeping and supporter correspondence.To work with committees to organise fundraising events.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Pipeline development – prospect research to support donor journeys for existing supporters and to identify potential prospects and manage the appropriate Raiser’s Edge records (including reporting)
- Supporter journey – Work with fundraising teams and, where appropriate, colleagues across the organisation to identify and research key individuals and partners who can influence and support the Charity’s work
- To play a key role in planning & organising cultivation and stewardship events including Vice President lunches
- To support & nurture high-value fundraising committees (including, not restricted to, the Friends of Muscular Dystrophy Manchester committee and Young Q Trust) and where appropriate, to help with relevant events
- With the support of the Development Manager, to take the lead on the donor stewardship programme; including thanking of gifts, development of communications and identification of appropriate activities and events
- To provide financial management support including restriction of donations as appropriate, reconciliation of management accounts, maximising gift aid claims
- To work with the events team to identify potential major donor prospects amongst event participants, their supporters and event attendees, collating accurate information for use in donor profiling.
- To support the Chief Executive, Director of Development and Development Manager with donor approaches, offering relevant helpwith donor communications
- To keep up to date with developments in the charity sector; monitor sector trends and opportunities and attend external training as appropriate.
