Public Square Multi Purpose Room

  1. Campus Food
  2. Improvements are still being made to what is being offered in terms of variety.
  3. Efforts are being made to bring pancakes and waffles among other items to the Anselma Room, however there are other issues such as crowd control and space.

  5. Resident Meal Plans
  6. The possibility of lowering the cost of the minimum meal plan for Freshman is being explored.
  7. Wilbur Building
  8. The space that was formerly the Mane Street Café (now vending machines) will be cleaned on a more regular basis, and plastic utensil dispensers have been ordered.
  9. A more presentable set up for the lobby is being considered, including new furniture and a different color scheme.
  10. Students are very excited about the new flooring in the building as well as the decals that will soon be lining the hallway leading up to the gym!
  11. Social Media & Advertising
  12. The college is looking into updating the website more frequently. Possible changes to the homepage include:
  13. A more prominent display of Campus Life.
  14. More animation present on the website.
  15. A frequent change in photos and ads.
  16. These changes will be brought about with the new color change to the new shade of red that will be closer to the traditional maroon.
  17. Students appreciate the social media activity of the college (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  18. Handicapped Parking
  19. If you see a non-handicapped person parking in one of the designated handicapped spots on campus, please call Public Safety (extension 11) and they will issue a summons.
  20. Shuttle Buses
  21. Saturday morning students would appreciate if the shuttles that currently run later in the evening on Saturdays could run earlier in the morning as well to provide the necessary transportation to the college.
  22. A survey will be sent out to gauge interest in this issue.
  23. Lion’s Lounge
  24. The college is looking into putting insulation in the walls surrounding the game room so that it may be used during the day.
  25. Other solutions are also being explored.
  26. Anselma Room
  27. Charging stations for phones, laptops, and other electrical devices are being looked into.
  28. New tables to replace the rusted ones outside of the AR on the patio will be ordered.
  29. Public Square Multi Purpose Room
  30. Facilities is working on fixing the temperature issue in the room presented by the fact that there is no thermostat.
  31. The company in charge of the computer system that maintains the temperature will be coming to campus next week.
  32. General Outdoor Campus Concerns
  33. The college is exploring options for locations of more outdoor tables. Possible locations include outside of the Wilbur, Casey, and Public Square buildings, as well as at the end of the campus green next to Kellenberg.
  34. Recycling bins for outside will be looked into, although the trash is sorted and the recyclable materials are pulled out.
  35. More lights will be placed in darker areas around campus, particularly in the parking lots at the far ends of the campus.
  36. Gym
  37. The fitness center is being renovated over Spring Break to include new machines, ceiling, mirrors, etc.
  38. Air Fresheners will be purchased for the locker rooms and fitness center.
  39. Open Forum
  40. Madison Theatre
  41. Students would like to see more events that are appealing for them as opposed to having all events being catered to the non-Molloy community.
  42. Students would like to have more accessibility to the Madison, particularly for the booking of events as many dates are booked very far in advance.
  43. Molloy Student Government and other clubs will be more proactive in planning events years in advance to assure the desired dates are granted.
  44. Smart Board in Public Square
  45. Education students would appreciate if a smart board were to be installed somewhere in the Public Square where they can plan and practice lessons. Although there are boards available in the Education Lab, it closes before students get out of their night classes.
  46. The option of having designated classrooms opened later for use of smart boards by students will also be looked into.
