Expressions of Interest are sought from suitable candidates for the position of Relieving Principal at Mallawa Public School for Term 1, 2016.
Position Information
Mallawa Public School is a small, rural school in the Barwon network and 60 km west of Moree. It has an enrolment of 11 students, anticipated enrolment of 10 students in 2016. The school is a family friendly orientated school that draws upon the local farming community for enrolments. The school experiences strong support from the P&C association. The staff are dedicated, motivated with a strong students focus and offer a wide range of engaging learning activities. The school has a focus on learning ensuring it meets the individual needs and interests of each student.

Position Criteria
1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning
6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Please note: if this position is paid at a higher rate of pay than the successful applicant’s substantive position, the incumbent will be remunerated by way of a higher duties allowance. This allowance comes with certain conditions, such as the rate of payment for leave in excess of 5 days and the rate of payment applicable for school vacations.
