Fredonia Situation:

Mancino and myself felt that everything went as smooth as can be expected. Refer to Pre-Season Report – 2008 – ’09. All meet results and such were sent in to all people concerned in a very quick and timely manner. Emilio Mancino did the Girls Top Ten List and I did the Boys Top Ten List and such.

Other Items:

From our understanding, Olean and another school or two are interested in joining the section next season. We will not know this for certain until all the form letters go out from the Section VI office concerning those schools interested in maintaining or joining the Section. As of now there are currently 32 schools from Section VI that participate in Indoor Track & Field as well as Canisius, St. Joe’s and St. Francis bringing our boys numbers up to 35 total schools and 32 total girl schools. We do not feel at this time that Canisius, St. Joe’s nor St. Francis need to be out even though our numbers might increase slightly. All three schools performed their responsibilities and such throughout the 2007 – ’08 Indoor Season in a timely and efficient manner.

Sincerely,

Pete Szymanski
