ECO-CREW:
Eco-Crew meets every day in Ms. Perry’s classroom, room V afterschool from 3:45-4:15.
ASIAN PACIFIC CLUB:
The Asian Pacific Club meets today during High School lunch in Mr. Lumanglas’ Room S.
FRESHMEN CANDY GRAM:
The 9th graders are hosting Valentine’s Day Candy Grams! Students can place their orders through Monday, February 8th. Please come and support the 9th grade class!
CLUB 16:
The Senior Class presents"Club 16",a high school dance featuring DJ Quam from Station 106, TONIGHT! Tickets available NOW from any senior! Students from other schools can attend if they submit a completed MIT's guest permission slip. Pick up a form in the main office.
COLOR-GUARD COMPETION:
Yes, it's that time of the year to cheer for and support MIT Academy's Scholastic Color Guard! First competition is TOMORROW at Rodriguez High School. Shows are at:1:40 pm for Middle School and2:50 pmfor High School. See you there!
COLOR-GUARD SHIRTS:
Please support our school’s Scholastic Color Guard Middle School & High School by purchasing a Color Guard T-Shirt. T-Shirts are $15 and can be worn on MIT Wear Days and to our competitions! Contact Mr. Lum.
IN MY MAMMAS KITCHEN:
As a part of supporting the senior class in their efforts to raise funds for the annual trip to Washington, D.C., there will be Valentine’s Day care packages which include body scrubs, body salts, and body butters. All products are handmade by Ms. Smalling, our new substitute and founder of In My Mammas Kitchen Handmade Products and will be available for sale via order form oronline at ShameekaDream.com/MitFundraiser, which will be emailed to all students. This is a great opportunity to help the senior class reach Destination D.C.!
POETRY SLAM:
The GREAT POETRY SLAMhappensFebruary 19th! Submit 4 of your best poems to a Senior Class Advisor (Lum, Saldana, and Powers) byFebruary 16th to participate as a contestant. Tickets required for participants and the audience; get yours from a senior.
