Dear Westfield Parent and/or Legal Guardian,
As you may already know, Westfield’s ArtDepartment has a unique partnership with Artsonia.com, which is known to be the world’s largest online art museum with thousands of artwork by students in over 100 countries. Considering such, I would like to ask you totake an active role in your student’s art education by accessing their artistic creations online at Artsonia and leaving them a supportive comment or two to show them that you are interested and enthused in what they create while at Westfield!
If you are indeed interested in supporting your student’s very own creations, you can view and comment on their artwork by visiting . Once on the Westfield’s Artsonia Page, you can follow the steps below to comment on your student’s artwork. By the way, if your student is available for Artsonia assistance, it might be helpful to have them around!
1. Locate the section titled “Find Artist” on the Westfield Artsonia homepage.
2. Underneath and to the right there is a Blue link which says “View Current Rooster”
3. Click “View Current Rooster” and locate your student’s grade
4. Within the grade, locate your student’s name id (First Name + Last Initial + #)
5. Click you student’s name id and their artwork should appear; One large image with small images
6. Choose the artwork you wish to comment on; all the artwork is located underneath the large image
7. To the right andto the bottom of the page, click the Blue link “Comment on (Student’s Name)!”
8. Next select the left hand side Green box which says “Enter Web Comment”
9. Then write a positive comment about your student’s work of art for everyone to see
10. Where it asks for your First Name, enter only your First Nameand check the box
11. If you have a valid email address, select the box “Join (Student’s Name) Fan Club!”
12. Select your relationship to the artist; i.e. Friend, Cousin, etc., and enter your email address
13. Finally, select the Green box which says “Continue”
14. If all the steps were completed, a new page will appear which will state “Website Comment Sent!”
*Please note that the comment needs to be approved by myself, Ms. Matt, before it appears on Artsonia
For every comment posted by you, your student will receive extra credit in order to show my appreciation for you supporting your student’s art education.
