The Surrey Summer Leagues 2015 have been created and the season is nearly upon us. Please also find attached to this email a document highlighting the rules and regulations for your leagues this summer, as well as the contacts for your leagues. These are people who along with myself, can help resolve your queries as the season progresses.
The Leagues are now held online at can be found by searching for ‘Wilson Surrey Summer League 2015’. For those who have been captains before, it is the same process as last season. However, please read carefully instructions about entering results online, unknown players and walkovers to ensure your results are entered accurately.
Online Results Process:
At the match:
- Both captains to complete a scorecard each (on site) and retain their own copy. Ensure both scorecards are signed by each captain.
- The winning team captain to submit result online by visiting this website:
- The losing team captain to check the result online.

Distribute to trusted club officials only and do notchange the password.
Winning team captain follow the steps below:
- Go to website -
- Type in your Login name and Password and click ‘Login’
- Click on your club name next to the relevant league.
- Click on the ‘Matches’ tab under your club name.
- Click on ‘Modify’ next to the relevant match.
- Click ‘Enter rubber results’. (Please see not in bold below)
- Read the instructions in the box carefully and enter the players and the results. Once you are happy with the results click ‘Verify’.
- On the next page read information in the box and click ‘Confirm’ if the result is correct (if you need to make alterations please click modify).
- Now click on the draw name to see your position in the table.
*DO NOT ENTER RESULTS BY CLICKING ON ‘ENTER MATCH RESULTS’, AS THEN WE CANNOT SEE WHO HAS PLAYED. PLEASE CLICK ON ‘ENTER RUBBER RESULTS*
Losing team captain follow the steps below:
- Go to website - the draws tab, find the match and check the result has been entered correctly.
- If you need to challenge the resultemail your league organiser as soon as possible.
FAQs:
Q: My password doesn’t work?
A: Make sure you have typed the password correctly using case sensitive letters/ numbers. Please note the logins all begin with ‘lta’ (as in Lawn Tennis Association).
Q:How do I re-schedule a match date?
A: The winning team will need to re-schedule the match date in order to enter the result. To do this:
- Follow steps 1-5 of the winning team captains process
- Click ‘reschedule match’
- Enter the date the match was played
- Click ‘save’ and now follow steps 6-8 on the winning team captain process (above) to enter the result.
Unknown Players
This is an area that has caused a number of issues over the last few seasons in the Surrey Leagues. It is important that results are filled in accurately so that we can maintain the success of the Surrey Leagues. When filling in the results after matches, ensure you have the correct spelling of the players, as well as the exact name that they have signed up to British Tennis with (e.g. if someone has recently got married, their maiden is likely to be the one that is on their BT membership). Otherwise you will find difficulties in locating that player on tournament software.
Check regularly that your results are entered properly. If you notice someone from your team is listed as an unknown player, inform me as soon as possible of who that player is and their BTM number. This is because after the results are initially entered, they can only be amended by Tennis Surrey.
If the player doesn’t appear when searching for them, you will need to check the following; that they are signed up to BTM and that they are attached to your Club. Players can update their link by logging in to the LTA website and updating their ‘My Tennis Venue’ in the manage account area. Details can also be updated by calling 0208 487 7000.
If a player is not signed up to British Tennis then they will need to do so. All league players should be signed up to BTM. This is the LTA’s membership scheme and is free to join. To sign up players can either visit LTA website phone the British Tennis Services Team on 0208 487 7000.
Following these steps will save you and us a lot of time. If a player is still not coming up on the system then please contact myself so that I am aware of the situation. As then I can help ensure match results are entered fully, with all player details, as quickly as possible.
Walkovers
If any matches result in a walkover, the captain of the team receiving that walkover must contact myself your league organiser, as only Tennis Surrey have admin rights to enter a walkover properly. This will result in the team receiving the walk-over being awarded 2 points and 1 rubber, but no sets or games. The losing team conceding the match will have 1 point deducted from their points score.IT SHOULD NOT BE ENTERED AS {4-0} OR [Not Played 4-0]. Ultimately we want to avoid walkovers and see as many matches played as possible. If you are struggling to organise a match for any reason, please contact me.
