Instruction: behavior, social, academic.
Individual behavior plan
Skill practice in general education setting when appropriate.
Progress reviews
Students transition back to resident school.
Psychiatric consult as appropriate / Elementary K-5
Must be Special Education ED eligible (other eligibilities considered on a case by case basis).
Program is not for students with life skill needs or students with primarily conduct issues.
+/- 8 slots available / Case manager schedules a
D-SET meeting.
Case manager then schedules an IEP meeting and intake meeting to include the teacher of the behavior program.
A program referral packet must be completed. / Through D-SET

Program is not an alternative ed. setting for discipline or expulsion issues.

D-SET meeting.
Case manager then schedules an R-SET meeting & completes BIC referral packet.
Case manager then schedules an IEP meeting.
For non-Special ed. eligible students – Case manager schedules an R-SET meeting. (does not have to go through
D-SET, but should have been through SST process at resident school). / For Special Ed. eligible students: Through D-SET and then R-SET.

Program utilizes a Level System for behavioral expectations.

For Special Education eligible students.
For students that require an alternative education setting due to discipline/expulsion issues – may be utilized for assessment purposes.

Case manager schedules an intake meeting with the teacher for the purpose of developing a behavior/transition plan (this may be combined with the IEP meeting).
Case manager from resident school continues the case management of student in most cases.

Home Tutoring for Behavior / *Most restrictive placement – not to be considered before prior interventions
One on one tutoring for student with severe behavioral issues.
1 – 2 hours/day with a maximum of 5 hours per week
Curriculum provided by resident school. / All grades – SpEd and Gen Ed
For students who are unable to access their education due to severe behavioral issues.
*Requires an IEP team recommendation, with administrative approval (Martha/Kerry) / Case manager schedules a D-SET meeting.

Employment program, which hires and trains youth.
Flexible schedule to accommodate student academic needs with OdysseyWare program for credit recovery and GED prep. / Ages 16 – 18 years.
At-risk youth, both SpEd. and Gen Ed
Employs a total of 6 students
+/- 6 slots per cohort/session / Does not go through a D-SET process.
