PTACHC Logo Design Contest

The PTA Council of Howard County (PTACHC) is thrilled that the 102nd Maryland PTA convention will be held in Columbia, Maryland on July 28-29, 2017. To celebrate, PTACHC would like your help to design a logo for PTACHC to use at the convention and for years to come.

1st place: $100

2nd place: $50

3rd place: $25

What: Design a logo for the PTACHC to use on our website, letterhead, and promotions (buttons, banners), advertising, etc.

Who: Howard county public school system students

When: Entries must be received by Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Where: Submit entries to or mail/drop off at the PTACHC office, 5451 Beaverkill Rd., Columbia, MD 21044

Official Rules:

·  PTACHC may alter, modify, or revise the winning logo.

·  PTACHC may publish entries for promotional or documentary purposes.

·  Entrants may enter no more than 2 logos in the contest.

·  Entries that do not meet the requirements may be rejected.

·  Entrants assign/transfer ownership rights of the logo to PTACHC.

How to Enter:

In order for your entry to be reviewed by our judges, all entries must:

·  Be the student’s original work.

·  Be received no later than Tuesday, May 23, 2017.

·  Have the acronym “PTACHC” somewhere in the logo.

·  Incorporate the idea of “What does the PTA mean to me”. Some ideas are: Growth, Care, Diversity, Achievement, Fit, Team, Together, Proud, Success, Friends, Encouragement.

·  Be submitted via email to in .eps and .jpg formats. If you do not have access to .eps, then a submission only in .jpg format will be accepted. If you cannot provide an electronic version of your entry, you may submit a paper copy by mail or in person to: PTACHC, 5451 Beaverkill Rd., Columbia, MD 21044.

All entries must be accompanied by the following information:

·  The student’s first and last name.

·  The name of the HCPSS school that the student attends.

·  The student’s grade.

·  Contact information (email and telephone).

·  The font name and size used for “PTACHC”.

Winner/Prizes:

The PTACHC will review all submissions and select 3 winners. The winners will be notified by email and/or phone, and announced on the PTACHC website no later than May 31, 2017.

The first place winner will receive $100 and his/her logo will become the PTACHC logo, which will be displayed at the July 2017 Maryland PTA Convention. The second place winner will receive $50. The third place winner will receive $25. The winning entrants will not receive any other compensation with respect to the winning logos and PTACHC will have all rights to the logos.
