RACE 1 – Bonnie Prince Charles Division 1 Juvenile/Graduation 461M

The declaration of all clear for this event was delayed so that stewards could review the official patrol films to ensure that the boxes opened correctly. After viewing the replays Steward’s were satisfied that the boxes had open correctly and gave the all clear on the judge’s numbers. Enfield Kellwent up with the lids and as a result was slow out. Soon after the start Claremont Flyer and Estelle Fire bumped. On the first turn Greysynd Merry and Pest Control bumped. On the home turn Claremont Flyer checked off the heels of Pest Control.

RACE 2 –Side Darl Division 1 Juvenile 340M

Sweet Izzy and Mega Nitro were slow out. Approaching the first turn Hidden Code checked off the heels of Top Command. On the first turn Get Up Alvin crossed wide checking Hidden Code, Sweet Izzy and Mega Nitro. On the home turn Get Up Alvin crossed to the rails checking Bella Diamond. In the home straight Sweet Izzy crossed to the rails and as a result bumped with Top Command and Buckle Up Omnin.

Cuddle Me Ted and Cosmic Eagle were slow out. Soon after the start Lashing Lad and Winklee Frank bumped checking Winklee Frank. On the first turn Cuddle Me Ted, Winklea Rose and Rulla Ronaldo bumped checking all three greyhounds. On the home turn Directive and Topline Star bumped. Rulla Ronaldo underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury was detected. A post race swab sample was taken from Topline Star, the winner of the event.

Soon after the start Waratah Boy and Fighting Fang bumped. On the first turn Fighting Fang, Dark Gladiator and Wild Cindy bumped checking Wild Cindy. On the home turn Wild Cindy checked off the heels of Rock Royalty. Blue McCool, Rock Royalty and Wild Cindy raced wide in the home straight. Blue McCool underwent a post racing veterinary examination after suffering interference in the catching pen and no apparent injury was detected. On the first turn Winklea Lilly and Cindylicious bumped. On the home turn Idle Bye checked off the heels of Ocean’s Twelve. Locknane Clinger tired over the concluding stages. Callamac Rebel was slow out. Soon after the start Sandy’s Pick and Jam Up bumped, shortly after Royal Surge crossed wide and as a result Royal Surge bumped with Burma Roo and Winklea Sam, checking Burma Roo and Winklea Sam. On the first turn Royal Surge checked off the heels of Amber Touch. Callamac Rebel raced wide in the home straight. A post race swab sample was taken from Son Of Superman the winner of the event.

RACE 9 – Bandag Retreads Division 3 Grade 4 461M

Breaking The Law was a late scratching at 6:00pm by reason of injury pursuant to GAR 37(2) as the greyhound had a laceration to its left front pad. Breaking The Law has been stood down from racing for a period of 5 days. Deb’s Nightmare, Hellyeah Sam and Lucky Day were slow out. Approaching the first turn Shanlyn Vapour galloped on the heels of Elle Oh Elle checking Elle Oh Elle. On the first turn Billy Na Na, Elle Oh Elle and Bandit’s Revenge bumped. severely checking Elle Oh Elle and Lucky Day, shortly after Billy Na Na and Bandit’s Revenge bumped. On the home turn Bandit’s Revenger and Lucky Day bumped. Elle Oh Elle underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected. Lucky Day underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

Tenebrae, Lil’ Dove, Winklea Jonno and Sue’s Guess were slow out. On the first turn Trezza Green checked off the heels of Barnes Bay. On the home turn Barnes Bay checked off the heels of Flash Innings. Lil’ Dove and Winklea Jonno raced wide around the home turn and in the home straight.

GENERAL

Dee Diamond completed a stewards satisfactory trial as it was stood down from the Hobart Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 5th December 2013 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment throughout the event pursuant to GAR 69(1)(b). Weighing 29.1 kilos and beginning from box 3, Dee Diamond completed the 461 metre trial distance in a time of 26.40. Dee Diamond has been cleared to race all tracks. Dee Diamond underwent a post trial veterinary inspection and was found to have muscle soreness in its left shoulder. Dee Diamond has been stood down from racing for a period of 5 days.

House of Stark completed a steward’s satisfactory weight trial as it weighed in excess of 2 kilograms since its last race start pursuant to GAR 40. Weighing 30.7 kilos and beginning from box 3, House Of Stark completed the 340 metre trial distance in a time of 26.46. House Of Stark has been cleared to race all tracks.

Bula Marlow completed a steward’s satisfactory trial as it had not started in an event for a period in excess of 6 months pursuant to LR31.3. Weighing 33.8 kilos and beginning from box 3, Bula Marlow completed the 461 metre trial distance in a time of 26.91. Bula Marlow has been cleared to race all tracks.

Great Taylors completed a stewards satisfactory trial as it was stood down from the Hobart Greyhound Racing Club meeting on the 5th September 2013 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment throughout the event pursuant to GAR 69(1)(b). Weighing 31.2 kilos and beginning from box 3, Great Taylors completed the 461 metre trial distance in a time of 26.76. Great Taylors has been cleared to race all tracks.
