These training notes should be read in conjunction with the 2014 training plan.

Training will be held in Worthing in the training room. Courses IN RED based in Croydon.

All training will commence at 10am PROMPT and STAFF SHOULD EXPECT TO BE AT TRAINING UNTIL 4PM

Please refer all staff to the PROACT-SCIPr-UK course dress code prior to their attendance on their training.

When two training sessions are indicated for a day the first will be 10am – 12.30pm. The second training session will be 1.15pm – 4pm. Staff can be rota’d to attend both training sessions, or just one if that is all required.

Refreshments will be available throughout the course and for full day training, lunch will be provided if required.

Active Support & Intensive Interaction – are being offered this year on specific dates for specific services to improve delivery, participation and effectiveness of the training. These courses will not be open to other services to book places. It is essential that managers/team leaders ensure ALL of their staff team attend on the two days offered to each service.

Managers & Team Leaders are responsible for booking staff onto training using the booking system in place. Requests to be made by the 30th of the month via email to . Beth will confirm places on each course by the 5th of the month via email and managers team leaders are then responsible for ensuring those staff are rota’d for the course.

Training will be part of the contracted hours and it is mandatory for staff to attend. Failure to attend training without a valid reason for their absence will be treated as an unauthorised absence and managed as per company policy.

Managers & Team Leaders are to keep a record of all training attended and it is their responsibility to update individual training records once certificates have been received. All staff will receive a certificate upon completion of each course, a copy of these certificates should be kept on staff’s records and the original to the staff member.
