RADIO SHOW PROPOSAL

CICK is a volunteer operated community station. Our mission is to strengthen and enrich the Smithers community by delivering volunteer produced radio programming. With this in mind, we give priority to programming that:

·  Is produced by groups, not individuals

·  Has local content and roots in the listening community

·  Includes a diversity of grassroots voices

·  Reflects emerging and/or underrepresented communities

·  Is educational and inspiring

·  Is produced live

·  Is not for profit

·  Promotes technical skill-sharing

·  Respects its audience

·  Plays music that is not available on existing stations (No Top 40!)

·  Commits to weekly programming of 2-3hrs in length

Attached is a show log that DJ’s are required to fill out during each show. Please complete the attached log with a sample playlist that you might play during a typical show.

Note: check the ‘cancon’ box if the selection is composed, produced, written (lyrics), or performed by a Canadian.
