Position: Schools Sales Manager
Purpose of the job
Responsible for identifying potential customers and converting theseinto enrolled parents/students.
The individual will work with the Head of Schools, Principals and Marketing to conduct sales pitches outside the normal open days.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a business development/sales strategy to achieve enrollment goals
- Set targets and co-ordinate related action plans
- Liaise with other Sifiso Learning Groupbusiness units to ensure co-ordinated effort towards achievement of sales objectives
- Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals
- Design and develop online sales platforms
- Co-ordinate and monitor online sales/enrolment activities
- Conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis
- Data management - analyse data to identify enrolment opportunities
- Follow up on leads identified through:
- Our various social media websites
- Open days
- Existing databases
- Purchased databases
- Communities around our schools
- Targeted stakeholder communities (such as professional organisations, various government departments, etc)
- Develop promotional ideas and material
- Cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers in the sector
- Relationship management - focus and ongoing engagement with the existing parents to drive revenue campaigns including:
- selling of school gear and
- paid for extra-mural activities such as coding, holiday programmes, extra classes and sports
- Keep up to date with developments in the education sectorand identify new and emerging opportunities
- Attend selected sector conferences and exhibitions to gather information and build networks
- Build a pipeline of prospective customers and record contacts in the existing sites
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision makers within the sector
Position Requirements
- Experienced in all aspects of planning and implementation of a sales strategy
- Technical sales skills
- Proven experience in customer relationship management
- Knowledge of market research
- Solid understanding of digital sales platforms
- Experience with relevant software applications
