JOB SUMMARY

KEY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Maintain the accounts receivable module in FUND-EZ by performing monthly reconciliations, preparing and entering all journal entries, and keeping complete records of all necessary supporting documentation.

·  Complete monthly bank reconciliations for all agency bank accounts and immediately bringing to the Controller's attention all and any unusual transactions in both the general ledger and on the bank statements.

·  Prepare and maintain the agency's depreciation schedule.

·  Assist the Controller with all accounting and monthly closing of the books

·  Process payroll in ADP and assist with setting up and maintaining employee allocations utilizing G/L info Link (which is an ADP product) and our accounting system

·  Prepare journal entries and perform account analysis

·  Conduct balance sheet and income statement account analysis and research reconciling items

·  Assist with issuing draft financial statements

·  Assist with the preparation and submission of forms 1099 and 990 to all appropriate state and federal agencies

·  Analyze all balance sheet accounts monthly

·  Preparing work-papers and financial statements for annual audit, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

·  Prepare ad hoc project and other financial reports, as requested

·  Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable processing

·  Assist with periodic drawdown of federal funds and the corresponding quarterly reporting.

·  Responsible for preparation of cost reports (quarterly and annually) as required by various funding sources

·  Manages the year-end audit.

·  Maintain schedule of fixed assets, and compare the results of annual physical inventory of fixed assets to fixed assets schedule and investigate any discrepancies.

·  Maintain full monthly reconciliation and subsidiary ledgers for all balance sheet items.

·  Follow up on accounts/grants/contracts receivables and ensure collection on a timely basis.

·  Liaise with Property Agent in reviewing and reconciling rent rolls.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES

·  Experience working in a healthcare settings

·  Strong computer skills, with demonstrated experience in accounting software, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.

·  Experience with General Ledger accounting is preferred.

·  Thorough knowledge of GAAP, advance accounting procedures and principles, attention to details a MUST.

·  Knowledge of FUND-EZ accounting software preferred.

·  Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines while coordinating with fiscal team.

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills essential.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and at least 2-3 years experience at a not for profit company.

·  Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required for the role.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Senior Accountant is assigned to the Administrative Office. Maybe required to travel to other sites based on the needs of the agency
