About Us
Tai Tarian are a Registered Social Landlord based in Neath Port Talbot. We own and manage over 9000 properties including 19 sheltered schemes across the County Borough. We also have around 600 leaseholder properties and a handful of shop premises.
By 2017, Tai Tarian will have invested £220 Million in improving housing and the communities in which our tenants live to bring homes up to the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS).
The Structure
Tai Tarian is made up of four directorates and nine departments. There are a wide range of job roles throughout the organisation. Below is a breakdown of the departmental functions and some examples of the types of job roles within those departments.
Chief Executive’s Directorate
· IT Services
o Providing IT development & support.
· Change Management
o Reviewing the way we work with a view to streamlining services and delivering ‘what matters’ to our customers.
· Human Resources
o Ensuring we have the right people in the right roles with the skills to provide an excellent service to our customers.
Assets
· Property and Maintenance
o A team of qualified tradespeople maintaining and inspecting our properties and carrying out emergency repairs.
o Contact centre team, taking incoming calls and answering queries from our customers.
o PVC Fabrication team, manufacturing and fitting PVC windows and doors for our properties.
· Investment & Regeneration
o Planning and carrying out the work upgrading kitchens, bathrooms, re-wiring and external wall insulation to meet the Welsh Housing Quality Standard.
o A dedicated Tenant Liaison team who work on behalf of our tenants dealing with the contractors carrying out the work in their homes.
o Regeneration team, working with the people living in the community to improve the areas they live in.

o Communications & Marketing, sharing good news stories and delivering important messages to our customers and employees in a number of formats including social media, printed newsletters and via our website.
Housing & Community Regeneration
· Landlord Services
o Helping our tenants to manage their tenancies, collecting rent, providing a supportive role as well as dealing with issues such as anti-social behaviour where necessary.
· Specialist Services,
o Neighbourhood Services, a team of operatives ensuring our land is kept to an acceptable standard, grass cutting, litter picking, cleaning communal areas, house and garden clearances, tree felling.
o Estate Rangers, providing a presence in the community, dealing with cases of Anti-Social behaviour, neighbour disputes and noise nuisance.
o Sheltered Housing, providing an assisted living option for tenants aged 55+ who live independently in our sheltered schemes.
o Financial Inclusion, a team of officers who provide help and advice on benefit entitlement and assistance in claiming benefits.
o Tenant Empowerment and Participation, empowering our tenant representatives to get involved in the organisation by sitting on working groups and making key decisions on how services are delivered.
o Tenancy Support, providing help and advice for those who require help additional support to maintain their tenancies.
