HELP US SAY THE RIGHT THING!

Throughout the meet we’ll be announcing the names of your club, your coaches and your swimmers. Help our announcers get the correct pronunciation the first time, every time, so we won’t feel awkward, and you won’t feel annoyed.

Give some thought to the names associated with your clubs, teams, and coaches, and if you can give us some clues to the chronically mis-pronounced, we’re more than happy to have them. Suggested hints: “sounds like, “rhymes with,” “French pronunciation.” “stress the second syllable.” For example, the name “McKone” could be “Mick as in Jagger, Cone as in Ice Cream,” or “Muck Own.”

When complete, please drop this off at the announcer’s table. Thanks!

Lisa Alexander 2016 – Skill Testing Panels

The following 2 panels will be added to the 9-10, 11-12 (NS/PS), 13-15 (PS) and 13-15 (NS) events at the Lisa Alexander Figure Meets (E) and (C/N/W). Therefore athletes will be rotating through 6 panels. These 2 skill panels will be evaluated by an LTAD Assessor who has attended a training session.

9-10 Bridge & Ariana Rotation

11-12 Bridge & Needle (L&R)

13-15 Bridge & Needle (L&R)

Synchro Swim Ontario will also be continuing with the assessment of Split Position (Lateral Split) during the Figure event. One extra judge at the following panels will evaluate Split Position only as per the Synchro Canada criteria.

The scores will NOT be added to figure scores this season, however Synchro Swim Ontario along with Synchro Canada will be analyzing/piloting potential scoring programs and proposals during this pilot year to determine their impact and viability for implementation during the 2016-17 season.
