Task – Scoring Judging Contest Answer Sheets
1. Locate the Judging Contest Answer Sheet in the tabulation folder.
2. Using the answer sheet, grade each participant’s judging sheet.
3. Record the number of answers correct in the top right corner of the first page.
4. Repeat for each participant’s judging sheet.
5. Arrange the judging sheets into five piles.
Primary 5 to 8 Years Old
Junior 4-5th Grade
Intermediate 6-8th Grade
Senior 9-12th Grade
Adult
6. Arrange the judging sheets in the Primary pile in alphabetical order.
7. Staple a Primary pin to the top left corner of each Primary’s judging sheet.
8. Locate the Judging Contest Results Sheet with a check on the Primary line in the tabulation folder. In alphabetical order, write the name and club of each Primary participant.
9. Place the Judging Contest Results Sheet on the top of the pile and place it in a basket.
10. Arrange the judging sheets in the Junior pile by the score you wrote on the top right corner. Highest score on the top, lowest score on the bottom.
11. Staple a judging medal to the top left corner of the 1st place Junior judging sheet.
12. Staple a red Home Economics Day ribbon to the top left corner of the 2nd place Junior judging sheet.
13. Staple a white Home Economics Day ribbon to the top left corner of the 3rd place Junior judging sheet.
14. Staple a participation Home Economics Day ribbon to the top left corner of the remaining Junior judging sheets.
15. Locate the Judging Contest Results Sheet with a check on the Junior line in the tabulation folder.
16. Record the name, club, score and placing of the 1st place Junior.
17. In score order, record all other Junior judging contest participants.
18. Place the Judging Contest Results Sheet on the top of the pile and place it in a basket.
19. Repeat for Intermediate judging contest participants.
20. Repeat for Senior judging contest participants.
21. Repeat for Adult judging contest participants.
22. Stack the judging contest baskets in the following order:
1. Primary (top)
2. Junior
3. Intermediate
4. Senior
5. Adult (bottom)
23. Remove the Judging Contest Results Sheets from the baskets.
24. Return the baskets to the above order. Set aside.
25. Arrange the Judging Contest Results Sheets in the following order:
1. Primary (top)
2. Junior
3. Intermediate
4. Senior
5. Adult (bottom)
26. Set aside for the MC.
Task – Assisting Competition Coordinators With Tabulation
1. When a competition coordinator arrives to tabulate, ask him/her which competition they coordinated.
2. Locate the appropriate tabulation sheet(s) in the tabulation folder.
3. Be available to answer questions.
4. As the competition coordinator completes one age division of judging sheets, place them in a basket. One basket for Primary, another for Junior, another for Intermediate, and another for Senior.
5. Once the competition coordinator is finished, review the tabulation sheet. Make sure the competition coordinator has recorded the 1st Place in each age division winner. This person is the one with the highest total score.
6. Place one neck medallion for each 1st place Junior winner in a separate basket. For Fashion Revue (except Fashion Revue - Needle Arts), add one State Fashion Revue entry packet to the basket.
7. Repeat for Intermediate.
8. Repeat for Senior.
9. Stack the baskets in the following order:
1. Primary Judging Sheets
2. Junior Judging Sheets
3. Junior Neck Medal
4. Intermediate Judging Sheets
5. Intermediate Neck Medal
6. Senior Judging Sheets
7. Senior Neck Medal
10. Set aside.
11. Repeat for all competitions.
Task – Cancelling Exhibits.
1. After a competition coordinator has completed tabulation, they will give you the cancelled exhibit # cards for their competition.
2. Place them in the tabulation folder.
Task – Completing Tabulation
1. Collect the competition folder and judge’s folders from the competition coordinator.
2. Place them in paper box #1.
3. Collect the green pens.
4. Place them in the pen box.
5. Collect the unused awards.
6. Return them to the appropriate awards box.
7. Collect the stapler, staples and calculator.
8. Return them to paper box #2.
Task – Preparing For Awards Ceremony
1. In a basket, place one Leadership pin for each youth member of the planning committee.
2. In another basket, place one gift for each adult member of the planning committee.
3. In another basket, place one gift for each coordinator.
4. Arrange the baskets in the following order:

8. Set aside.
9. Arrange the Judging Contest Results Sheets in the following order:
1. Primary
2. Junior
3. Intermediate
4. Senior
5. Adult
10. Place the Judging Contest Results Sheets behind the Sewing tabulation sheet.
11. Turn the pile face down.
12. Leave near the MC script on the awards table.
Task – Closing The Tabulation Room
1. Remove the tabulation poster from the door and place it in the tabulation folder.
2. Return all items to their appropriate boxes.
3. Pick up trash and return room to its original condition.
4. Place the boxes in the north hallway off the social hall.
5. Turn off the lights.
6. Ask the Home Economics Day Advisor to lock the tabulation room door.
