Letter from the Editors

By Kathy Mahoney and Sandy Alexander

Spring is in the air! Don’t forget to “spring ahead” and change your clocks. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the coolerweather. Remember to cover your plants over night if we have a frost warning. It’s a lot cheaper than having to replace your landscaping!

We want to say thank you to Penny Donald for doing an incredible job on the 2012 newsletters and to all the wonderful 2012 Board Members. All your hard work was greatly appreciated. A warm welcome to the new 2013 Board Members from your new editors!

Remember to check our website, for deed restrictions, meeting agendas & minutes and newsletters. You can also contact the board via email on the website. Extra copies of the newsletter can be found at the front entrance. Also, for a fee of $25, you can advertise your goods and services in the SW newsletter. It will be viewed by over 200 residents and is a great way to get your advertisement out.

The Sorrento Woods Homeowner’s Association Annual Meetingwas held on 1/14/13 at the Nokomis Community Center. It was well attended and the new board members were elected. Many topics were covered. Homeowner dues should have been paid by February 15th, so if you have not yet sent yours in, please do so as soon as possible to avoid a fine.

The photo on the first page was taken last July by Sandy Alexander, 1009 Delacroix Circle, at the pond right across from her house. Can you believe the harmony between the alligator, turtle and the heron? Awesome!
