This summer Pasco High baseball coaches are once again embarking on a new journey to give our players the opportunity to play baseball in the summer. We have decided to start our own summer team for the student-athletes who are or will be attending Pasco High School. Our team will be name is the Pasco Rebels. Continuing the summer program is a big step in building a baseball program, and in doing so we are asking the community and local businesses for their help in financing this team.
The Pasco Rebels mission is to provide our student/athletes with the best possible baseball experience during the summer. To accomplish this, players must have the opportunity to play in the summer with a competitive schedule against quality opponents. To expose our athletes to the best competition available we will be participating in tournaments throughout the summer and the occasional non-league game with local teams around the Tri-Cities, Yakima and Walla Walla areas. We will also be hosting two tournaments at our Pasco High facility, bringing in teams from all over Washington State, Oregon and Idaho. In the coming years, we would like to build this program into having a senior team as well as younger teams for kids in middle school and the little league levels.
It takes an extraordinary amount of time and funds to compete in these tournaments and maintain a baseball program during the summer months. Community contributions will help not just with equipment needs but also with maintaining the newly built Emerson Morgan Field on the campus of Pasco High, as well as providing equipment for games and uniform costs. With that being said we are looking for the business community’s help. We want to build relationships with the businesses in our area and maintain those relationships for years to come.
