WHEREAS, the Value of Each Said Movable Item Is Less Than $5,000.00

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the movable items shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto, are no longer needed for public purposes by the City of Patterson and it would be in the best interest of the City to sell said items; and

WHEREAS, the value of each said movable item is less than $5,000.00:

WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Patterson, Louisiana, that Rodney A. Grogan, Mayor, be and is hereby authorized to sell at private sale the items shown on Exhibit A attached hereto on behalf of the City of Patterson on the following terms and conditions:

1) the sale of each item shall be to the highest bidder on each item;

2) the sale of each item shall be at a price no less than a minimum price as shown on Exhibit A;

3) the sale price shall be paid in lump sum at the closing of the sale, which shall occur at a time and place fixed by the Mayor;

4) in the event the sale is not completed, including payment of the full sale price to City, within thirty (30) days of the date bids are opened, then the City, at the Mayor’s discretion, may reject the high bid and award the bid the next highest bidder;

5) each sale shall be without any warranty as to the condition of the item sold, not even as to return of the purchase price, and the Mayor is authorized to sign all instruments upon such other terms and conditions he deems reasonable in his sole discretion to make such sales; and

6) bids shall be received until the 7:00 p. m. on the 6th day of January, 2015, and bids shall be opened at the meeting of the City Council on the 6th day of January, 2015.

And the Resolution was declared and unanimously adopted at public meeting of the City Council fo the City of Patterson, Louisiana, on this 2nd day of December, 2014.

Item 5- Portable building measuring 20’ X 12’ with a 6’ front porch. Building must be moved off of premise by purchaser. Minimum bid is $900.00

Item 6- Vehicle ARMY 2 ½ ton, 6x6, M35A2 Truck. Engine was running when parked.
