48 It reminds me a lot of a woman, here not long ago, in Louisville, Kentucky. She had a little boy about, oh, two or three years old. And the little fellow had a... must been developing a--a mental trouble. And she had took him to the doctor, and the doctor had doctored him a while. And he seemed to be getting worse, to her. But to the doctor, he said, "I believe he is better."

49 So she gave him a sign test. She took him into a ten-cent store, and she picked up a little something that should attract the attention of this little lad, and he--he wouldn't look at it. And she went to another counter, and she picked up something that should attract his attention, a little toy pistol or something, and--and still it wouldn't attract his attention. And she did everything that she knew, and the people begin to watch the woman getting hysterically. Then she goes to a place that had a--a little jingle bell, and she picked that up and she shook it, hysterically, before his eyes, and said, "Darling, look!" And the little fellow just stared in space. And she dropped the little thing on the floor, and begin to scream out. "Oh, no! No," she screamed.

64-0304 SIRS.WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS

50 And some of the people in the store went to aid her, and to find out what was wrong. She said, "My little boy, the doctor says he is better, but he's not. Anything that ought to attract his attention, of a little boy like that, it doesn't attract him. He only stares in space."

51 I think that's got the condition our church is getting into. God shook every gift that He promised in the Bible, before us, and we still stare in space, as we're looking for something else. It seems to be a spiritual condition of the church, that they fail to see the hour that they're living. They are looking for some sensation or something that... something way off in the future. Man is forever doing that; he always blesses God for what He has done, looking forward for what He will do, and ignoring what He is doing. You fail to see the hour we're living!

52 That's what those Greeks wanted to know, what the hour was and what that Messiah should be. The portion of Scripture that was made known for that day, if that Messiah fulfilled that, that's the evidence! The vindicated Word of the hour is the evidence; not that He had to have fruits of the Spirit, He had to be a--a lawyer in the courts of--of justice, for His, or one of the Pharisees or Sadducee organizations. He was the manifestation of God's promised Word of that hour.

53 You want to see what the fruit of the Spirit is? Watch what the Bible promises for a certain hour, then watch for that to be vindicated. That is the evidence. Jesus said, "Search the Scriptures, for in Them you think you have Eternal Life, They are They that testify of Me. That's what proves Who I am."

65-1127E I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE

187 Now it's begin to pull away, the wheat's begin to be seen. This is not a Pentecostal age. This is the latter-day age. This is the Bride age. This is the evening Light. This is when Malachi 4 must be fulfilled, to follow God's pattern. This is Luke 17:30, to be fulfill. This is the second... And Jeremiah, and all the rest of them, that Joel has spoke of these days, this is that day. "I have heard, Lord, and It was coming, but now I see It with my eye."

188 Though many... how many false impersonators rise, them Jannes and Jambres with all their gimmicks to do everything that Moses did, never shook him or Aaron at all. They knowed where... like Job, they knowed Who their inspiration come from. They knowed It was THUS SAITH THE LORD! And the same Bible that spoke of them, said, "They'd come in the last days, impersonators." Those religious denominations, when something started... Who started first? Moses or them? If they had started first, Moses would have been the--the mimic.

189 Now we got all kinds of discerners and everything else that's trying to throw your mind from the genuine thing of God, which God has proven to be the Truth by His Scripture. "We've heard of It with our ears, now we see It with our eye." Amen! Do you believe It? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] All our hearts! Inspiration! And in that day when the Son of man is being revealed, a Son of man, Jesus Christ made manifest amongst His people.

64-0719E GOING.BEYOND.THE.CAMP

124 Like when the Chinese people first come over here, they couldn't read nor write our language, but they were great laundrymen. And so they would... You'd go down to the Chinese laundry. He just got him some clear, little white tags. He couldn't read one thing, and he knowed you couldn't read it if he wrote it. So, when you come, he just took this little white piece of paper, something on this order, say, right here, and he tore it a certain way like that. Now, he give you one piece of paper, and he kept the other piece of paper. And then when you come back for your laundry, he said, "Let me see your piece of paper." And he got them; if it matched, that was it. You got your dirty clothes back clean.

125 And Jesus matched every prophecy; every design of Jehovah of the Old Testament is Jesus of the New. He matched everything.

Let me say this with godly fear and respects, but love, but sincerity of knowing where I'm standing. The Message of this hour has matched everything the Bible spoke of this hour. Now, if you got some dirty clothes, turn them in. Uh-huh. Are you washed in the Blood of the Lamb?

126 Notice, "bearing His reproach," 'cause He was the vindicated Word. As then, so is it now, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:12 and 13. We find Hebrews... 8, 13:8, also. "Bearing His shame," of the Gospel.

127 Bearing His Name! He said, "I came in My Father's Name." What is the Name of the Father? He came in His Father's Name. Said, "I came in My Father's Name and you received Me not." Well? What is the Father's Name? I guess you ought to know. See?

Bearing the reproach of the Word. It was always carried out of their camps. They turned It out. You'll be laughed at, and made fun of.

65-0425 GOD'S.PROVIDED.PLACE.OF.WORSHIP

195 But He promised, just before the coming of the end time, the world would get like it was in Sodom, when a Man came down in human form; three of them, two Angels and God Himself. That was God. The Bible said it was. Now He came down and He manifested Himself there, by turning His back to the--the tent where Sarah was, and told Abraham what Sarah was thinking in the tent. That right? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Now, Jesus Himself said, "At the day when the Son of man is being revealed," in other words, "the Son of man, the ministry of Jesus Christ Hisself."

196 The church will come through justification, through Luther; through sanctification, through Wesley; through the baptism of the Holy Ghost, or the Pentecostals; and go right on into the perfection of the Son of man, that when Husband and Wife will be the same-self persons. God will be so manifested into His Bride, His Church, till they will both be the same. They are one. Now you see where we're at.

197 Don't hold to them traditions and creeds. They were alright in their day, but the flower has bloomed to a blossom now. It's seed time. That's right.

198 Jesus promised these things. Now when we see God make His promise live before us, and see that it's in us, and His Spirit is living in us; that is the only way of worship, only place of worship, the only true way you can worship, "For there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." God made the promise. Jesus said, "The things that I do, you'll do also," and what He would do in the last day. How it come through this age, neither light nor day, would be the--the like a darkened time, but said, "The evening time, it shall be Light."

64-0416 AND.WHEN.THEIR.EYES.WERE.OPENED.THEY.KNEW.HIM

126 But what is the evidence of a believer? That will but believe the identified Word of the hour. It's always been that way. The people get It scrupled up, in all kinds of traditions, and religions, and denominations, and educations, and so forth. But God comes along, with His Word, and confirms It for the hour. That's the evidence.

127 Look upon Him and see. He said, "If I don't do the works of My Father, believe Me not. Search the Scriptures, in Them you think you've got Eternal Life; They testify Who I am. If I don't do what the Scripture says that I shall do, then don't believe Me." See? And still they didn't know it. And after walking with Him, and here identifying Hisself back after the resurrection, and showing that, that it was Him, by the Scriptures.

63-0317M GOD.HIDING.HIMSELF.IN.SIMPLICITY.THEN.REVEALING.HIMSELF.IN.THE.SAME

111 Catch those two Scriptures. "Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?" Even... Then Jesus thanked God that He'd hid the mysteries from the wise and prudent, and would reveal it to babes such as would learn, for it seemed good to God to do that.

Now, from this text, or from this Scripture reading, I draw this text: "God Hiding Himself in Simplicity, Then Revealing Himself in the Same." Now, for the tapes I keep repeating, so for the tapes (You see?), 'cause they're--they're taping it. See? "God Hiding Himself in Simplicity, Then Revealing Himself in the Same."

113 It is strange to think how that God does such a thing as that. God will hide Himself in something so simple that'll cause the wise to miss it a million miles and then turn right back around in that, some simple thing in the simplicity of His way of working and reveal Hisself right out again.

I thought it made a--a text that we might study this before we go into the--the--the great teachings of the Seven Seals. Many miss Him by the way He reveals Himself. Now, man has their own ideas of what God ought to be and what God is going to do; and as I have made the old statement many times that man still remains man. Man is always giving God praise for what He did do, and always looking forward to what He will do, and ignoring what He's doing. See, see?

114 That's the way they miss it. They look back and see what a great thing He done, but they fail to see what a simple thing He used to do it with. See? And then they look forward and see a great thing coming that's going to happen, and nine times out of ten, it's already happening right around them, and it's so simple that they don't know it. See?

65-0829 SATAN'S.EDEN_ JEFFERSONVILLE.IN V-2 N-20 SUNDAY_

22 The god of this world today, the worshiped person of this world today, is Satan. And the people are ignorant of worshiping Satan, but it's Satan impersonating himself as the church, see, as the church. They worship Satan, thinking that they are worshiping God through the church, but it's the way Satan has done it.

"Oh," you say, "but wait a minute; we preach the Word."

23 Look back here at my text, tonight. Satan was the one that preached the Word to Eve, first, "God hath said," see.

24 It's that misconstruing that part of the Scripture that applies to the day. He'll let you know all Jesus did was perfectly well. He'll let you know all that Moses did was perfectly well. But when you take the promises that They gave for this day, then That was applied to another age. That's just all he has to do, see, is to get the people to believe It that way, and that--that's all. For, "You cannot take one Word away from It, or add one word to It." But that's what he does.

25 People, ignorantly worshiping Satan, thinking they are worshiping God; as we are warned by prophecy, in Second Thessalonians. That, let's just read that, Second Thessalonians, the 2nd chapter. Let's just get it a moment, if I can, right away. I'd like to read that. Just, I believe, Second Thessalonians. I got the Scripture here. In Second...

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of the Lord Jesus... and by the gathering together unto him,

26 Now, see, "the coming of the Lord, and the gathering to Him,"as God will gather His people to Him in the last days. "The gathering of the people to the Lord," not to the church, "to the Lord; gathering together unto Him."

That ye be not soon shaken in your mind, or... troubled--troubled, neither by spirit, nor... word, nor by letter as from us, as... the day of the Lord is at hand.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin ("man of sin," watch what he is now), the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, (that was Judas, see);

Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

27 That deceitfulness of the church of today! See, "the son of perdition," the devil. "The son of perdition," the devil. Then, people worshiping Satan in this day, thinking they're worshiping God. But they're worshiping him through a creed, a man-made denominations and creeds that's brought the people right down to the greatest deception that the world has ever knowed of. No matter how much the Word of God promised for this day, is preached and vindicated, they still won't believe It. They won't believe It.

28 Then why? We wonder why. Why doesn't it; why won't they believe It? When God said He would do a certain thing, and He does it, and still they turn their back from it and turn away from it. Just as Eve knew that what God said, God would do; but she turned her back on it, to listen to what he had to say.

29 Just remember, in other ages, it's always been the same thing. In every age, it's always been that Satan tries to pervert that Word to them, making them see some other age.
