Hello I'm Mr. Roeth,

This is my 6th year teaching Miami East Schools. I come with a lot of excitement and a great passion for teaching. I love helping and seeing students achieve each day! In 2001 I graduated from Miami East Schools. After, graduating I went on to further my education and football career at West Virginia Wesleyan College. While in college I studied Elementary Education K-6. Since graduating college I have taught, coached, and worked at several places and at different grade levels. I have taught 4th grade, 3rd grade at Fairlawn Local Schools. I then decided to work in the Agricultural field at my family’s business, Buckeye Ag Testing. After realizing my ultimate passion for teaching and being around children, I returned to the teaching field where I taught preschool for the Miami County ESC. This year is my tenth year of teaching and I really look forward again this year working in the Miami East community and working with its members towards the overall success of each individual that walks through the door!

This year I really want to express the importance of not only state testing but seeing that your child learns something new each day. Not just to use in the classroom but also in their everyday lives. The true importance is getting them to realize that what they are learning here at school is going to help prepare them for life. I want my students to come in my room and feel invited to not only learn but have a good time as well. I feel if you are smiling and having fun you are going to be more willing to learn. So, if they come home talking about how crazy and goofy Mr. Roeth was today at school. It will probably be true!!!

I would also like to recognize and thank my wonderful wife Heather and my two beautiful little girls Jaycee and Jorgia. These amazing girls are always there to help support me and always remind me of the important things in life.

YOGA BALLS!!!!!

******Also, we do things a little differently in my classroom with seats. I allow all students in my room to use a Yoga ball as a chair oncethey have earned this opportunity! This is a great way to exercise the core all day long as well as it helps maintain and keep students focused throughout the day. You can purchase these balls normally for around $10 - $15 at Wal-Mart or Target. Please, bring the ball in NOT pumped up. We can do that here at school. If you would like to pump it up at home be sure to bring your child to school as they do not allow them on the bus.******

Thanks, Mr. Roeth
