ACCOMMODATION
Student accommodation available in Letterkenny is managed by private landlords and includes fully-furnished houses and apartments.
Please note that LYIT, as an Institute, does not approve or recommend ANY private accommodation.
We advise you to please be vigilant in respect of any accommodation provider claiming to be an LYIT approved accommodation provider. We strongly recommend for your benefit that you only select accommodation from either the LYIT Student Union Accommodation List www.lyitsu.ie or those Accommodation Providers recommended by previous incoming Erasmus Students (attached).
Former Erasmus Students have recommended four purpose-built student accommodation options which provides extra services to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible (see next page)
In addition, from mid-August each year the Lyit Students Union compiles a list of S. U. approved accommodation. This list is available from the Students Union website:

The Erasmus office suggests that students seek accommodation in good time and only use the list below or the Students Union List.
· The rent per person varies between €55 - €75 per week (heating, electricity etc. extra).
· The deposit will be refunded at the end of the occupancy period providing no damage has been done to the accommodation.
· They are available for 1 or 2 semesters.
