Upcoming Events, Meetings, and Ministries
Cottage Prayer Meetings are being held in homes throughout February in preparation for the upcoming revival. Please select a meeting sight and take the receipt tab as a reminder of your appointment. What a great way to meet new people and covenant to pray one for another.
Imagine Children’s Conference is planned at Parkway Baptist Church in Bardstown this Friday & Saturday, February 11 &12, for Preschool and Children workers.
Farmdale Ministry Group will minister to residents of Farmdale Towers this Friday at 6 p.m.
A Spaghetti Dinner, sponsored by Parkland’s Scout Troop, is planned this Saturday from
2-7 p.m.in the church gym. Cost is $5 a plate (spaghetti, salad, dessert and drink). Children age 5 and under are free. Everyone is invited to come and support the Scouts.
Single Again Seminars will be offered on Sundays from 4-6 p.m. in Room 202. Seminars are designed to meet the needs of ALL singles – Divorced, Separated, Widowed, or Never Married. To sign up call the church office or go to the website and click on Adult Ministry tab.
Joyful Singers will rehearse this Sunday, February 13, at 5 p.m.
Church Council will meet this Sunday at the church following the evening worship service.
Church Visitation is planned Monday, February 14, at 6:30 p.m. Just show up and we will team you up to make visits that impact the Kingdom.
Parkland Live Wires will meet on Tuesday, February 15, at 10:30 a.m. for a potluck lunch and meeting. Guest speaker will be Eric Flack, WAVE-TV Troubleshooter & Reporter. Bring your questions for him. Join us for good food and fellowship.
Honduras Mission Fundraiser is planned Tuesday, February 15, at Culver’s on Hurstbourne Lane from 5-9 pm. Proceeds from sales during that time will benefit Honduras mission trips.
Business Meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, February 16, at 6p.m.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast is planned for Saturday, February 19, at 8:00 a.m. All men and boys of the church are invited to come for good food, prayer, and fellowship.
Singles’ Night Out is planned for Saturday, February 19, at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
All Singles are invited for food, fun and fellowship.
Centri-Kid Camp for children who have completed 4th – 6th grades is planned for July 11-15. Please let Beth Turpin know by this Sunday if your child would like to attend camp.
Coming Soon! "Preparing My Heart for Easter - A Woman's Journey to the Cross and Beyond" an 8-week Bible study will begin on Sunday, March 6.This study offers a chance to learn the significance of the days from Palm Sunday to Pentecost and focuses on the women who followed Jesus during His life and death. Helen Benzel is proud to announce the birth of her little brother,
Nicholas Michael,born January 30. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz. and
was 21 inches long. The proud parents are Stephen and Amanda Benzel.

Looking Back….
In 1922, Parkland Baptist Church undertook the support of the Connelly School in China and kept up this work until China was closed to all foreign missionaries. This was just one of the many mission endeavors that Parkland has supported through the years.
