RE: ADDENDUM #1, LCCCAG South Parking Island, IFB-18000

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

This addendum is being provided to provide clarifications and answer questions asked of plan holders. No further addendums will be issued.

This Addendum shall be considered part of the Contract Documents for the above-noted project as though it had been issued at the same time, and shall be incorporated integrally herewith. Where provisions of the following supplemental data differ from those of the original Contract Documents, this Addendum shall take precedence.

Bidders are hereby notified that they shall make any necessary adjustments to their estimates on account of this Addendum. It will be construed that each Bidder’s proposal is submitted with full knowledge of all supplemental data specified herein.

Clarifications and questions from Pre-Bid Meeting:

  1. Bermshall be placed behind all existing valve boxes so that no adjustment to height of boxes will be necessary.
  2. Contractor shall provide and installone (1) valve box in area adjacent to existing valve box as shown on plan and one (1) RainbirdXCZ-LF-100PRF drip valveonto existing 3” mainline. New drip irrigation shall be connected to this valve.
  3. Alternative tree species for (10) Malus “Thunderchild’Crabapple as specified on plans shall be either;
  4. (10) each, min. size 8’ clump, Amelanchier x grandiflora ‘Autumn Brilliance’, Autumn Brilliance Serviceberry OR
  5. (10) each, min. size 2” caliper, Sorbusaucuparia ‘Michred’, Cardinal Royal Mountain Ash.
  6. Contractor shall locate all underground utilities prior to commencing work per project specifications, LCCC to locate existing irrigation lines for contractor.
  7. Staging area and entry to the site shall be from existing parking area to the north of project. LCCC shall be advised of any work to be performed from road to south and contractor shall provide appropriate traffic control per LCCC instruction.
  8. Contractor Qualifications: The project shall be performed by an experienced landscape Contractor having not less than 5 years successful experience in landscape projects of similar size and scope as this project. Contractor shall provide references and Owner contacts for a minimum of three (3) completed landscape projects of similar size and scope to be included in bid proposal.
  9. Preservation of Properties: The Contractor shall be responsible for the preservation of all public or private properties including: existing trees, shrubs, turf, fences, sidewalks, curbs/gutter, other landscape features and all structures. If any direct or indirect damage or injury is done to public or private properties by, or on account of any act , omission, neglect or misconduct in the execution of the work, on the part of the Contractor, such property shall be restored by the Contractor, at his/her expense. Restoration shall be to a condition similar or equal to that existing before damage or injury in such manner as may be acceptable to the owner.
  10. IFB, page 21, Section 3.2, remove “Itemized” request for bid response.

Sealed Bids, subject to the terms, conditions and specifications herein stipulated and/or attached hereto, will be received at the Laramie County Community College Contracts Office located in the Administration Building, AM-104 at 1400 East College Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82007 until August 17, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. (prevailing local time), and then publicly opened, read aloud and duly recorded.
