Further to your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as set out below:
Under the Freedom of Information Act, could you please send me:
a)the latest copy of your IT Strategy / Strategies, including any "e" or web strategies.
b)the names of any applications that you have purchased to manage your HR, Purchase to Pay, Finance, CRM, time sheet (including flexible working time) and IT Service Desk and/or Help Desk data.
c)the date and the initial capital and other costs for the initial implementation of these applications.
d)the names of the organisations that you have entered into a contract with to: firstly, supply these systems and secondly,perform annual support.
e)the values of any annual support costs that are payable in relation to these systems, broken down by system and organization the fee is payable to.
f)the expiration date of the contracts for each of these applications.
Please reply for your organization and any other organization(s)that you have responsibility for.
Please see attached, a spreadsheet outlining the applications used, implementation date, capital expenditure & costs, support costs and support expiry dates for Becta’s HR, Purchase to Pay, Finance, CRM, time sheet and IT Service Desk and/or Help Desk data (addendum 1)
We are advised by our procurement department that the names of suppliers and products for these services constitutes commercially sensitive information.
Please also see attached, a copy of Becta’s IT-IS Strategy Position Paper 2009 (addendum 2).
Your request has been dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. If you are not satisfied with this response, you may ask for an internal review of its handling by writing to me within two calendar months of the date of this letter.
A panel consisting of two directors, not involved with consideration of the initial request, will then undertake an internal review of the decision overseen by a member of Becta's Board. You will be informed of the outcome of the review in due course. Becta aims to complete such a review within one month of receipt of your complaint.
In the event that you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of the review, you may complain to the Information Commissioner, whose address isInformation Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, CheshireSH5 9AF.
