Title: / International Development Manager
Location: / Cambridge
Term / 3-year fixed term contract
Prime responsibility: / To manage and deliver the ‘IWF Portal Project for 30 Least Developed Countries’
To enhance the reputation and awareness of the IWF with a focus on International Relations within Europe and relevant international markets.
Accountable to: / CEO
Key duties: / IWF Portal Project Management:
  • Working closely with the SMT to contribute to the development of the Portal Project strategy and translate this to a three-year project plan and then deliver this, ensuring it dovetails with other elements of the IWF strategy and business plan, particularly any other international activities.
  • To run a cross departmental team of IWF staff to support the Portal Project implementation including representation from technical, comms, membership and other staff as identified.
  • To agree and manage the budget for the Portal Project.
  • To administer the project fund, liaising with the Global Fund to End Violence Against Children ensuring all conditions are met
  • Maintaining ongoing relationship with existing Portals.
  • To monitor political developments relevant to the IWF’s international development programme.
  • To identify development opportunities, partnerships and potential sources of funding.
  • To brief CEO and other SMT team members and other staff regarding political developmentsand initiatives which may affect the IWF.
International development:
  • To ensure IWF representation on relevant international panels, policy platforms, working groups, events including taking the lead on the IWF’s relationship with UN, IGF, UNODC, ITU, CTO, ECPAT, etc.
  • To build international relationships to develop IWF’s operational reach and sphere of influence.
  • To communicate and develop the international work of the IWF, supporting and advising colleagues
Reputation:
  • To assist in theplanning and organisation international events and meetings as required to meet IWF strategic objectives.
  • To act as an IWF Ambassador and be an IWF spokesperson at events, presentation opportunities and in the media.
  • To communicate the work and successes of the IWF among different target groups, enhance reputation and increase understanding of the IWF.
Other:
  • To represent the IWF as required on international platforms
  • Significantnational and international travel will be required
  • To work flexibly where required with some unsociable or weekend working on occasions.
  • To support a positive working environment and ensure delivery of IWF values.
  • To represent the IWF externally as appropriate.
  • To carry out other duties as may be requested by CEO
  • To adhere to requirements of relevant legislation (i.e., Health and Safety, Data Protection).
