Dear Parents
Tuesday 17th October 2017:
· Class 4M trip to Tesco
· 9.00 – Year 3 Parent Workshop – This workshop will enable parents to find out what topics their child will be learning in Year 3. It will also give an overview of the learning resources pupils will use during the year as well as share some helpful hints on how to support their child at home. Any parents wishing to attend this workshop should e-mail to book their place.
Wednesday 18th October 2017:
· Class 4MC trip to Tesco
· 2.40pm – Mr Bennett will be speaking to parents about the launch of our ‘Day Centre for Older Adults’ which will be opening soon. Come and find out how this will affect your child and how joint activities with the older adults and our pupils will enrich the programme of learning for all participants. Particularly of interest to RECEPTION PARENTS as their children will be part of the project.
Friday 20th October 2017:
· Last day of term. Children return to school at normal time on Monday 30th October 2017.
Height & Weight Checks for Reception and Year 6
Letters from the National Child Measurement Programme Team have been distributed to children in Reception and Year 6. The letters are regarding height and weight checks which will be carried out shortly. Parents who do not wish their child to participate should telephone the Height & Weight team on 0300 300 1579 Option 5, or write to the address on the letter.
Parent/Teacher meetings
Parent/Teacher meetings will be taking place on 17th, 18th & 19th October 2017. If you have not yet made your appointment please do so as soon as possible to secure a place. If you are experiencing difficulties, please contact the school office.
