Immortal God-head,

one in three;

Oh, grant us endless

length of days

In our true native land

with Thee.

Amen…

IV.OPENING PRAYER

Priest:

Let us pray.

O God, who have revealed that peacemakers are to be called your children,

grant, we pray, that we may work without ceasing

to establish that justice which alone ensures true and lasting peace.

We make our prayer through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

V.SCRIPTURE PASSAGE

Lector/priest:

A reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah.

In the future, the mountain with the Lord's temple will be the highest of all. It will reach above the hills; every nation will rush to it.

Many people will come and say, “Let's go to the mountain of the Lord God of Jacob and worship in his temple.” The Lord will teach us his Law from Jerusalem, and we will obey him.

He will settle arguments between nations. They will pound their swords and their spears into rakes and shovels; they will never make war or attack one another.

People of Israel, let's live by the light of the Lord.

The Word of the Lord.

ALL: Thanks be to God.

COMMENTATOR:

Please be seated and silently meditate on the message of the Word of God. (5 minutes)

VI.POINTS FOR REFLECTION

(From Pope Francis' "The Church of Mercy"

In the world, in society, there is little peace because dialogue is missing; we find it difficult to go beyond the narrow horizon of our own interests in order to open ourselves to a true and sincere comparison.

Peace requires a persistent, patient, strong, intelligent dialogue by which nothing is lost. Dialogue can overcome war. Dialogue can bring people of different generations who often ignore one another to live together; it makes citizens of different ethnic backgrounds and of different beliefs coexist. Dialogue is the way of peace. For dialogue fosters understanding, harmony, concord, and peace.

For this reason, it is vital that it grow and expand between people of every condition and belief, like a net of peace that protects the world and especially protects the weakest members.

(SILENT ADORATION – 15 minutes)

COMMENTATOR: Please all stand

VII.INTERCESSORY PRAYERS:

PRIEST: Let us pray for peace in our hearts and homes, in our nation and in the world.

ALL:

Lord Jesus, we come to you in our need. Create in us an awareness of the massive forces of conflict that threaten our world today.

And grant us a sense of urgency to activate the forces of goodness, of justice, of love, and of peace.

Where there is armed conflict, let us stretch out our arms to our brothers and sisters.

Where there is abundance, let there be simple lifestyle and sharing.

Where there is poverty, let there be dignified living and constant striving for just structures.

Where there is selfish ambition, let there be humble service.

Where there is injustice, let there be atonement.

Where there is despair, let there be hope in the Good News.

Where there are wounds of division, let there be unity and wholeness.

Help us to be committed to the building of your kingdom, not seeking to be cared for but to care; not expecting to be served but to place ourselves in the service of the others; not aspiring to be materially secure but to place our security in Your love.

Teach us Your spirit, for it is only in loving imitation of You, Lord, that we can discover the healing springs of life that will bring about new birth to our earth and hope for the world.

Amen.

PRIEST: Our Lady, Queen of Peace.

ALL: Pray for us.

PRIEST: At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father…

COMMENTATOR: Let us all kneel for the Benediction

VIII.BENEDICTION

Let us raise our voice

To proclaim our faith

Christ the Lord for us has died

Dying, He destroyed our death,

Rising, He restored our life.

O Lord Jesus, we await

Your last return in glory.

When we eat the bread

and we drink the cup

in the blessed Eucharist.

We meet You, our risen Savior

Giving life to us anew

Through life’s journey,

be with us,

to strengthen us forever.

Amen. Amen.

PRIEST: You have given us the Bread from heaven

ALL:The Source of all happiness

PRIEST:Let us pray.

Lord Jesus Christ, you gave us the Eucharist as the memorial of your suffering and death. May our worship of this sacrament of your body and blood help us to experience the salvation you won for us and the peace of the kingdom where you live with the Holy spirit, one God, forever and ever.
