2012 Moberly Spartan Invitational
September 13th, 14thand 15th
Once again, the Moberly Spartans will be hosting their annual Spartan Invitational tournament over the dates of September 13th and 15th. The tournament will be the host of a 6 team pool play. Two – Three team pools will ensure that all teams play three games in the tournament(one game on Thursday and two on Saturday). The two 1st place finishers in their pool will play for the championship. 2nd place finishers will play for 3rd place. 3rd place finishers will play for 5th place. Tournament Fee: $200 – Make check payable to Moberly High School

T-Shirts: T-shirts will be available for purchase at the tournament for $10. Sizes will range from Adult Small to XX-Large. There will be a limited number of t-shirts available for purchase at the tournament.
Trophies/Awards: Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. An All-Tournament Team will be selected, with those players receiving medals.
The numbers of All-Tournament selections for your team are dependent upon your team’s finish in the tournament.
1st Place – 4 selections : 2nd Place – 3 selections : 3rd Place – 2 selections
4th Place – 2 selections : 5th Place – 1 selections : 6th Place – 1 selections
Field Locations: The tournament will use both the MHS Soccer Field as well as the Shepard’s Fields (located on Kwix Road and Morley St., about ½ a mile away from the high school) and CCCB field(located directly behind the High School to the west)
Rules: We will follow the NFHS and MSHSAA rules. Games will consist of two 40-minute halves with a 10-minute halftime. In the case of a tie at the end of regulation, two 10-minute “golden goal” periods will be played. If a winner is still unable to be determined after the two overtime periods there will be a penalty kick shootout to determine a winner (NFHS rules apply). In case of inclement weather, the time of the halves may be decreased, but any decision to do so will involve prior notification. Moberly High School will supply game balls for all facilities.
