MEMBERSHIP FEES– Full Member $70.00, Senior Rider $50.00, junior Rider $40.00, Social $15, Family $100.00 DESCRIPTION OF MEMBERSHIP

(a) Full Member – has the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting and Special General Meetings, may nominate for positions as Club Executive and has the right to participate in practice, club or open competition events organised and conducted by the Association, must be proposed and seconded by current Club members

(b) RiderMember – has the right to participate in practice, club or open competition events organised and conducted by the Association – does have voting rights and can hold Club Executive positions

(c) Junior Member (Under 16 years) - has the right to participate in practice, club or open competition events organised and conducted by the Association

(d) Social Member – has the right to assist with the organization of and participate in social events and functions conducted by the Association – does not have voting rights and cannot hold Club Executive positions

(e )Family Member -has the right to participate in practice, club or open competition events organised and conducted by the Association – One adult Member in a family membership is to be recorded as the individual to have voting rights and to be eligible to nominate for position as club Executive.

I hereby apply for membership of Kurri Kurri Speedway Club Inc and submit this application with the appropriate fee as listed below.

I agree to abide by the rules as set down by the Club and comply with the competition rules of Motorcycling Australia upon acceptance of my membership.

I understand that if I participate/compete in activities/events/functions conducted by Kurri Kurri Speedway Club Inc, my results and photo may appear on the Club website, local and national media and speedway publications and your contact details may be provided to local and national media for publicity purposes.

DISCLAIMER – The applicant, parent and/or guardian acknowledge and understand that the Kurri Kurri Speedway Club Inc, its officials, members, representatives and the land owners are not liable in respect of any loss or damage and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the applicant or property or resulting in death of the signed applicant, son/daughter or ward arising out of or relating to the activities held by the Club whether caused by negligence of the Club or otherwise.

I/WE hereby agree with the persons, organizations and bodies corporate, whose names appear in Schedule 1 (hereinafter collectively call “the organizer”), that I am/we are, by this agreement, entitled to participate in the Motorcycle activity /meeting listed in Schedule 2 (hereinafter called “the activity”) at the venue listed in Schedule 3 (hereinafter called “the venue’) under the terms and conditions set out in this document.

2. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS, DANGERS & OBLIGATIONS

I/we acknowledge that motorcycle sport is dangerous and that by engaging in the sport and participating in the sport or activity, I/we take and am/are exposed to certain risks and dangers and am/are under certain obligations as follows:

a)that I/we may be injured, physically or mentally, and may be killed;

b)that my/our machinery or equipment may be damaged, lost or destroyed;

c)that competitors may ride dangerously or with a lack of skill;

d)that track or event conditions may be hazardous and may vary without warning or predictability;

e)that organisers, and any agents or representatives of those in charge of activities, are frequently obliged to make decisions under pressure of time/or events;

f)that any policy of insurance of or in respect of my life or physical or mental health may be voided;

g)that there may be no or inadequate facilities for treatment or transport of me if I am injured;

h)that I have an obligation to myself and to others to act safely and within the rules of competition.

3. INDEMNITY AND RELEASE GIVEN TO ORGANISERS

In consideration of the acceptance of me /us as a participating in any activity:

I/We agree to indemnify each of the organisers in the following manner:

a)that I/we participate in the activity at my sole risk and responsibility;

b)that I/we accept the Venue as it stands with all or any defects hidden or exposed;

c)that I/we indemnify and hold harmless the organisers, their respective servants, agents, officials and competitors against any actions, costs, losses or claims which may be made by me or on my behalf for or in respect of or arising out of my death or any injury loss or damage caused to me or my equipment whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other manner whatsoever.

4.THIRD PARTY INDEMNITY WHERE PARTICIPANT IS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE

Club Rules 2018

  • To abide by the Kurri Kurri Speedway Club INC Constitution.
  • Code Conduct– as per GCR’s. Kurri Kurri speedway club will not tolerate any members that abuse any officials and will have their membership revoked.
  • Social Media – as per MA and MNSW Policies and that no affiliated member of this club can slander the clubs name or member of this club on any social media sites.
  • Sign On- if riders turn up late there will be a fee of $100.00(one hundred) - subject to appropriate notification to a Club official.
  • Scrutineer/sign on -must have, juniors’ log book, back protector and helmet – no presentation, no race
  • Machines- must comply to the current GCR’s.
  • No Animals allowed-GCR’s
  • Pit area-dress code, no thongs, no children –GCR’s
  • Alcohol is not permitted in pit area while racing.
  • All Members must supply a helper to volunteer on the Day of meetings
