·  PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS:

o  I am continuing to work with a few families from the Catholic grade schools as well as public schools who are considering Assumption for their child’s high school education. I am meeting with these families and communicating with them on a regular basis.

·  RECENT INTERACTIONS:

·  Pack the Gym Pep Rallies:

o  Visited the Catholic grade schools on 2/10 for the Pep Rallies to promote Pack the Gym Knight and winter sports. Members of the AHS Girls/Boys Basketball teams, Pep Club, KKD, Cheer, Wrestling and Band were in attendance. Matt Tjaden helped emcee the Pep Rallies.

·  Pack the Gym Knight:

o  Pack the Gym Knight was held at AHS on Fri. 2/13. This night was opened up to all ages for the first year (vs. just 7th/8th grade students). Student Ambassadors help oversee the event which had music, cookie decorating station, coloring station, tattoo/face paint station, chips/water/lemonade, AHS bean bag games, free AHS wristband provided, as well as the opportunity to win prizes through the night. Grade school and AHS students united in prayer around the perimeter of the gym prior to the Boys Varsity game. The event was very well attended.

·  3rd Grade - Lent Activity (JFK):

o  Student Ambassadors (alum of JFK) visited the 3rd grade students at JFK to help them with a Lent activity wreath. Both the students and teachers seemed to be receptive to the new activity and I am looking to extend to the other 3rd grade students at the other Catholic grade schools next school year.

·  1st Grade Interaction – Visit with Cast of Cinderella:

o  I took the cast of main cast of the AHS musical, Cinderella, to the Catholic grade schools on 2/24. The cast talked about what goes into a production, read a different version of Cinderella, as well as performed two songs from the musical. I also provided a worksheet to teachers ‘If I had a Fairy Godmother…”. Both the AHS and grade school students really enjoyed this experience!

·  5th & 8th Grade – Dress Rehearsal Musical Visit:

o  On 3/5, the 5th and 8th grade students from the grade schools came to AHS to attend the dress rehearsal for the musical, Cinderella.
