Preliminary Round
- 3 pools, round robin within pool
- two, 25 rally point games (first to 25), except pool A – best of 3
- each game counts as one point towards the Championship round
- games will run on time; warm-up time may be limited
- underhand serves may take one step into the court
- NO Libero player will be used
- Top 2 from each pool, will move on to the Championship round. (any ties will be broken by total points against .)
- 3rd and 4th place team in each pool will be eliminated
