OVERVIEW OF THE LIST OF AMENDMENTS IN THE ECA TABLE

The following Standards were added to the ECA Table:

EN 303 316, based on ECC/DEC(15)03

EN 303 413, proposed by FM 44

The following Standards were removed from the ECA Table since the standards are discontinued under RE-D:

EN 300 373 on maritime communication (in some cases replaced by EN 303 402, in some cases by EN 300 338)

EN 302 297 on analogue television

EN 302 998 on mobile television reception

EN 302 625 on BBDR

EN 302 645 on GNSS Repeaters

442.2-450 kHz

No application added (in approval process for ERC/REC 70-03 Annex 2) under the existing application emergency detection

161.9625 – 161.9875 MHz:

The allocation Mobile-satellite (Earth-to-space) 5.228F was added to the ECA column as it is in the RR-Region 1 column and this allocation is implemented by more than 15 administrations in relation to maritime use incl. AIS (15 country rule).

790 - 862 MHz: The allocation “Broadcasting” was removed. All further entries relating to the Broadcasting allocation were deleted too. ECO Report 03 already shows that the vast majority of CEPT countries use the band for MFCN and not broadcasting anymore. Footnote 5.316b refers to the aeronautical radionavigation service in countries as shown in in 5.312 (incl. 5 CEPT countries). Therefore, the addition ‘except aeronautical mobile’ is kept for the mobile service allocation.

1626.5 - 1660 MHz, 1660 - 1660.5 MHz:

Based on the new entry in ERC/REC 70/03,Annex 10, the term “ALS” was included, also the related harmonised standard.

1900 – 1930 MHz:

The application DA2GC (1900 - 1920 MHz) is to be deleted because ECC/DEC(15)02 will be withdrawn.

3400 – 4200 MHz:

The application BWA is to be deleted because ECC/DEC(07)02 will be withdrawn. All other related entries relating to BWA have been deleted too because they follow the application entry.

WG FM decided to keep the information about the amateur and radiolocation use in 3400-3410 MHz but delete the band 3400-3410 MHz from footnote ECA17. CEPT Report 67 and the draft revised ECC/DEC/(11)06 are noted for MFCN (incl. 5G). This will be further investigated. CEPT administrations are encouraged to provide feedback during the public consultation or directly to WG FM on this subject.

5925 - 6700 MHz:

The allocation “Mobile” was added because more than 15 CEPT countries (15 country rule) already use this allocation in this frequency band.

10.7 – 13.25 GHz, 14 – 14.5 GHz:

The new entries for the application and EN standards based on ECC/DEC(18)04 and ECC/DEC(18)05 (ESIM).

EN 302 340shifted, now belongs to ECC/DEC(05)10 (ESV). As proposed by FM44 all downlink ranges for ESV added.

11.7-12.5 GHz:

The allocation for the fixed service can be deleted from the ECA column because ECC/DEC/(00)08 (no new FS in the band) is now 18 years old and remaining FS usage in Europe is close to zero in 11.7-12.5 GHz.

17.3 – 20.2 GHz, 27.5 – 30 GHz:

Addition of a new note “Limited to land based and maritime E/S” related to ECC/DEC/(15)04, as proposed by FM44.

24.25 – 27.5 GHz

The new entries for the application MFCN based on ECC/DEC(18)06.

92-94 GHz, 94.1-100 GHz, 102-109.5 GHz and 111.8-114.25 GHz

ECC Recommendation (18)02 added on radio frequency channel/block arrangements for fixed service systems operating in these bands (approval expected at WG SE in Sept. 2018)

130 – 174.8 GHz:

The new entries for the application Fixed based on ECC/REC/(18)01.

Note: above86 GHz currently no standards exist.
