2Minutes from June 14, 2007 Conference Call

2.1Agenda

  • Attendance
  • IEEE patent policy:
  • Approve the agenda.
  • Approve the minutes of the last MAC call on June 28.
  • Transmission of CBP packets across WRAN cells and across channel
  • Continue the presentation on CBP to clarify some of the inter-cell discovery features (Doc: 22-07-0306-01-0000-CBP-overview-and-updates-1.ppt)- Dave Cavalcanti.
  • Proposals for updating the DS-MAP and US-MAP section – Gerald Chouinard
  • Other business.

2.2Notes

  • The chair asked if there is anybody that is not aware of the IEEE patent policy. No one responded.
  • The agenda was approved by the group.
  • The minutes of the MAC call as of June 28 was approved by the group.
  • Dave continued the presentation on CBP. George Vlantis commented that rather than specifying more rules for CBP transmission, a step-by-step procedure is needed to specify the inter-WRAN discovery and communicationprocess for the most simple scenario, which is composed of, for example, two base stations with each of which has two CPEs associated.
  • George further commented that in order to enable a simple and feasible CBP communication solution, all WRAN cells across channel should be synchronized with one another (based on a common clock provided by GPS system) at the super-frame boundary level at the very beginning of their operation.
  • Dave will continue his presentation next call.
  • Gerald presented his document on proposed updates for DS-MAP and US-MAP specifications.
  • In the next call the group will summarize the discussions in the MAC calls and prepare a list of key items to be discussed in the San Francisco meeting.
