Role Purpose
The role provides financial accounting and reporting support to the Group Financial Accountant, across the UK FCC business. The role will act as point of contact with auditors and HMRC and will involve consideration of various matters from a technical accounting perspective.
Key Responsibilities
· Completion of the deconsolidation and thereafter preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts (circa 50 companies) including both IFRS and new UK GAAP. This will involve co-ordination and liaison with the Group’s auditors
· Supporting regional accountants in the preparation of quarterly non-statutory accounts for several special purpose vehicle companies (used for reporting to funding banks)
· Preparation of Board Reports covering monthly balance sheet and cash flow statements
· Undertaking variance analysis on balance sheet and cash flow statements
· Preparation of disclosures for inclusion in the Group IFRS statutory accounts
· Prepare all UK group corporation tax computations and returns together with ‘tagging’ the statutory accounts for online submission to HMRC
· Undertake other financial accounting and tax work as required
· Own PQQ completion for finance (reviewed with others).
Qualifications and Experience (preferred)
· Qualified ACA accountant
· Detailed knowledge of and up to date on technical accounting standards
· Credible finance professional with a track record of providing excellent financial support
· Commercially adept and perceptive
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong IT skills
· Project management skills
· Some travel involved
· Full UK Driving Licence
