Fire Preparedness Readiness Review
Introduction
This preparedness readiness review guide is designed for use by fire managers, supervisors, and fire modules to evaluate the level of fire readiness.
This system will allow for efficient documentation and immediate feedback of the results of the evaluation on the selected units. It is intended to provide consistency in the evaluation of fire resources.
This guide should be adopted to meet local conditions and can be subdivided to use only the appropriate checklists for the selected area. The following will provide suggestion for use:
1. Checklists are designed to be used, all or in part. Select the checklists that are needed to meet the review objectives.
2. The checklists are developed to provide recommended elements and may or may not reflect agency policy.
3. Some checklist elements may appear to be duplicated, but provide adequate coverage, if all checklists are not utilized.
4. The ratings:
E = Above Average Indicates that the element/activity was completed at a level higher than expected.
M = Satisfactory Performance meets expectations.
NI = Needs Improvement Element performance does not meet expectations.
NR = Not Reviewed Element was not reviewed because it was determined to be not needed or appropriate for the review objectives.
