Position Overview:
This full-time contract position is located in the Enterprise Applications Support (JSP) organization within the IT department. The role of this position is to serve as a specialized PeopleSoft developer supporting Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the various PeopleSoft applications and environments that meet current and future business requirements of the ERP solutions and apply, extend, enhance, and/or optimize the existing architecture. This position is located at the client Headquarters in Portland, OR.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: This position requires confidentiality, professionalism and requires passing a higher level background investigation, for which the selected candidate must qualify to hold or continue to hold the position.
Position Responsibilities include:
· As requested by the manager:
· Code, test, configure, maintain, apply updates and upgrade various PeopleSoft HCM, FMS, CRM and in-house applications using the software tools provided with the PeopleSoft applications 9.0, 9.2.
· Utilizing and industry standards design and develop custom portal pages and user work centers. Troubleshoot workflow and integration issues between PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications.
· Design and develop custom workflow notification and approval functions.
· Design, develop and maintain integration routines between PeopleSoft and non-PeopleSoft applications.
· Provide technical support in production environments. This includes troubleshooting reported issues and system architectures to include data management, network management, and overall client architectures as it relates to the PeopleSoft environments.
· Design and develop custom WorkCenters.
· Utilize client and industry standards to develop process documentation using Approval Workflow Engine (AWE) workflow.
· With oversight and approval from staff, provide demonstrations of emerging technologies to acquaint staff with capabilities and applicability to the PeopleSoft application suites.
· Perform fit-gap analysis and propose implementation approaches for manager review and approval.
· Develop requirement documents, configuration documents, design documents, technical specification documents, knowledge transfer and training documents. Final products will be reviewed and approved by staff.
· Research new and emerging technologies to verify their applicability to application development and maintenance, and in support of the needs of operations.
Position Requirements:
Education/Experience:
NOTE: Education and Experience requirements are specific to this CWSD/position title, for use exclusively within client’s IT organization and are not transferrable to other client organizations.
· Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Post-Graduate College Degree in Computer/Information Technology or directly-related field is preferred.
· This is a level 3 position: 7+ years combination of education, and/or work experience in Computer/Information Technology or directly-related field is required. Each applicable college degree will count towards 2 years of experience.
Note: Equivalent related degrees will only count once. For example: A candidate with two Associate degrees in different Computer/Information Technology disciplines, will only be given credit for 2 years of experience.
· Experience working in a large production environment is required.
· The following required skills for this position are Critical:
· Experience utilizing technical features in PeopleTools release 8.53 or higher
· 3-5 years experience with full Life Cycle upgrade
· 3-5 years experience developing and maintaining systems integration using Integration Broker
· 3-5 years experience using PeopleCode Application packages
· 1+ years’ hands-on experience using PeopleSoft Test Framework is desirable.
· Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 or HCM 9.2 is desirable.
General Requirements:
· Proficient hands-on experience using PeopleTools 8.53 or higher
· Strong level coding and development skills
· Working experience developing reports using XML Publisher
· Working experience with application upgrades
· Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security
· Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 applications
· Working experience gathering and analyzing user requirements, performing fit/gap analysis, and developing prototypes
· Demonstrated ability to understand a client’s business quickly and translate that understanding into a well-designed IT solution
· Proven analytical, problem solving and debugging skills. Should be able to provide accurate problem analysis to the client and follow up with documentation
· Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of individuals and skill levels
· Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
· Must be a team player and able to work effectively with a team of people made up of those with diverse work styles and personalities
Additional Requirements:
· The skill level of the candidate will be determined during client’s technical skills assessment and will be outlined if an offer is made.
· Must be able to pass a Personnel background check pursuant for Public Trust (SF-85P), for which the selected candidate must qualify to hold or continue to hold the position.
· Will be expected to provide on-call and backup support for existing systems and functions. Location for on-call and backup support may be at the client’s facilities or off-site. Required to carry a client supplied cell phone/pager and work non-core hours when requested.
· The selected candidate will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) as a condition of the contract assignment.
· This position may be eligible for situational offsite work, subject to the completion of a Supplemental Labor Offsite Work Memorandum of Understanding.
· RSA token shall only be utilized when conducting work directly related to the API. Any other work is unauthorized. Contract worker is responsible for the safe-keeping of the issued RSA Token at all times. If the RSA Token is lost or compromised, immediately contact the COTR. All information associated with the work performed offsite must be maintained in the client’s network environment. No client information shall be allowed to be transmitted, stored, and created, etc., on the contract worker’s personal devices. Contract personnel must follow all client and government-wide security, asset management, and cyber security policies and procedures.
· Upon selection to the assignment, the worker may be required to complete internal/external training to support assigned equipment, programs or software, software upgrades, or to learn new client technology.
· NOTE: In the Event of a COOP Exercise or Incident, contract personnel will be required to work off site to provide production support per roles and responsibilities outlined in the client Organizational COOP Plans.
