All eliminations will take top 4 to final

Traditional crosscut saws will be provided for all crosscut events and drawn on the day

All division chops will be handicapped

NO GUARDS = NO BLOCK, NO EXCEPTION!

ECHO saws provided for stock saw

ECHO safety equipment provided and mandatory

Crosscut sawing wood will be white pine

Stock saw/hot saw wood will be poplar/cottonwood

Chopping wood will be poplar/cottonwood

Partners for Jack and Jill will be drawn

All events and prize pool is subject to change at COWEX Logger Sports’ discretion

Although it is not a CANLOG sanctioned event, all other CANLOG rules will apply

Powergames - Each event has points based on place, 1st - 8th, first place receiving 8 points, second place receiving 7 points, etc. Final results will be the competitor’s total score. In the event of a tie, there will be an ECHO stock saw decider, 2 cuts - down up. The competitor does not need to enter every event within the Powergames to participate. The entry fee remains the same no matter the number of events entered.

Classaxe - Same points system and rules as Powergames. In the event of a tie, there will be an axe throw decider, no practice throw, three throws.

Reference to; Laughinglogger, COWEX and its employees, volunteers, agents, and successors (all of whom are referred to in the document together as the “Management”).

By signing this document you will:

• WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.

• RELEASE MANAGEMENT FRON LEGAL LIABILITY AND CLAIMS.

• AGREE TO REIMBURSE MANAGEMENT FOR LOSS AND DAMAGE.

In return for allowing me to use the equipment and facilities (the “Facilities”) and/or participate in Bull in the Woods activities, programs, events, and other services offered through use of the facility, including but not limited to, loggers’ sports, functions, and special events (referred to in this document together as the “Activities”), I hereby agree as follows.

ASSUMPTION OF RISKS:

• I understand and am aware that the facilities and activities are not constantly supervised.

• I understand and am aware that the use of the facilities and participation in activities involves many inherent risks, danger and hazards and that personal injury or death may result even by my safe and proper use of the facilities or my safe and proper participation in the activities, for any reason what so ever, whether caused by the actions or negligence on the part of other people using the Facilities or participating in the activities, or on the part of the management and owners.

I FREELY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF RESULTING PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS WHETHER THROUGH THE USE OF THE FACILITIES OR THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITIES.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT:

1. I GIVE UP (WAIVE) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I have, or may in the future have against the owners and management arising out of my use of the facilities or participation in the activities.

2. I RELEASE THE OWNERS AND MANAGEMENT from any and all liability including, without limitation, for any loss damage, injury, expense or cost that I may suffer as a result of using the facilities or my participation in the activities, due to any cause what so ever INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, BREACH OF ANY STATUTORY OR OTHER DUTY OF CARE, INCLUDING ANY DUTY OF CARE OWNED UNDER THE OCCUPIERS LIABILITY ACT ON THE PART OF THE OWNERS AND IT’S MANAGEMENT.

3. I WILL HOLD THE OWNERS AND IT’S MANAGEMENT HARMLESS FROM AND WILL REIMBURSE (INDEMNIFY) THEM FROM any and all liability for any property damage or personal injury suffered by anyone, resulting from my use of the facilities or my participation in the activities.

4. This agreement will be legally binding on my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns, in the event of my death.

I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS AGREEMENT PRIOR TO SIGNING, AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT, I AM GIVING UP CERTAIN RIGHTS, WHICH I OR MY HEIRS NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS AND ASSIGNS MAY HAVE.
