Participation begins at the local level and progresses to the state and national levels. Areas of participation closely mirror those of the international science fair, but they reflect an agricultural theme.

Devon Energy and The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation sponsor the FFA Agriscience Fair and awards dinner. They have partnered with the Oklahoma FFA Foundation to provide educational opportunities and financial incentives for the FFA members who participate in this event.

The partnership with Devon Energy and The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation is designed to encourage agricultural education students and teachers to research, develop, conduct, and evaluate projects associated with the agricultural industry as well as the oil and gas business.

“The Agriscience Fair is part of Devon’s commitment to provide students with interesting and innovative opportunities to learn more about science, technology, engineering and math,” said Alan Marcum, Devon’s executive vice president for administration.

FFA is an integral part of the Agricultural Education division in the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education system. With nearly 27,000 members and 360 chapters, the Oklahoma FFA Association is the fourth-largest state FFA association. The FFA mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
