Present: 6 patients. Dr Lakshmi Raj GP, Sara Ibrahim Practice Manager, Zoe Williamson Regional/Building Manager, Lucy Dogley-Darani Reception Supervisor
Patients got invitation by text and email: any patient present at meetings who does not get an email must inform us.
LBRP Developments
Baby Clinic due to start just waiting for approval from the Health Visiting Team
The two TV screens at the back of reception will play health promotion videos, based on current health themes throughout the month and promotional videos for the PPG.
It could include a screen to call patients to the GP’s room.
The IT consultant will update once signed off by the CCG.
A tagging system for all SLG property will be implemented soon.
The Practice website is being updated and EMIS Access is available to patients.
We have a new reception area for GP queries.
Two new GPs will be starting, Dr James Fordham next week and Dr Helen Stedefordin April. We also have a Physician Associate Aisha who gives support to GPs and help with triage five days a week.
A clinical pharmacist will be starting soon to do medical audits and prescription work.
Terms of reference
The group looked at the proposed draft and agreed on the following:
Clause 6 - The PPG shall elect a chairperson and a secretary and this will be advertised by email.
If the group gets beyond 30 patients there will be a steering committee.
Clause 7-The PPG shall have not less than four meetings a year.
Clause 8 - The Practice Manager shall be the point of contact for the PPG
A senior member of the Practice team should be present at all meetings
A GP shall attend the meeting when possible
A Hurley Group partner shall be invited to attend annually
Clause 9-The PPG shall take care of its administration and the practice staff will give support.
Sara will amend the TOR and send out for the election process to start by next meeting.
The document will be reviewed in 6 months.
Cake Stall (Sports Relief 16 or 17 March)
One of the patients present will bake. The Practice will provide support.
