LICENSING OF SEA-FISHING VESSELS REGULATIONS 1960

I, MICHEÁL Ó MÓRÁIN, Minister for Lands, in exercise of the powers

conferred on me by section 9 of the Sea Fisheries Act, 1952 (No.

7 of 1952), as amended by section 4 of the Sea Fisheries

(Amendment) Act, 1959 (No. 28 of 1959), and the Fisheries (Transfer

of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1957

(S.I. No. 67 of 1957), hereby make the following regulations :

REG 1

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Licensing of Sea-Fishing

Vessels Regulations, 1960.

REG 2

2. Seventy-five feet is hereby prescribed for the purposes of

subsection (1) of section 9 of the Sea Fisheries Act, 1952 (No. 7

of 1952), as amended by section 4 of the Sea Fisheries (Amendment)

Act, 1959 (No. 28 of 1959).

REG 3

3. The form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations is hereby

prescribed as the form of application for a licence under the said

section 9.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these Regulations is that no vessel exceeding

seventy-five feet over all in length shall be used for sea-fishing

except under and in accordance with a licence which must be applied

for in the form in the Schedule.
