ABOUT THE 2-DAY WORKSHOP
Legal practitioners often stand or fall by their correspondence and pleadings. This workshop is intended to transfer skills to those who seek to litigate successfully. Participants will learn that effective writing increases business success and commands respect from those who read their writings.

from taking instructions to final draft

•Contractual and delictual claims
•Drafting in a manner that is persuasive
Practical demonstrations and exercises
Day 2:
•Technique in drafting a plea
•Analysis of fact and law
•How to determine the defence, including exceptions and special pleas
•Preparing and drafting a response to allegations of fact and conclusions of law
•Introduction to drafting in motion proceedings
•“The Plascon Test”
•Drafting notices of motion and supporting affidavits
•Drafting interdicts
•Drafting heads of argument

Payment can be made up-front by cheque, credit card or direct deposit. No registration will be confirmed if the payment details or proof of payment has not been included.
Any person who has registered for a seminar and fails to cancel (in writing) at least 48 hours prior to the seminar, shall be held liable for the payment. All refunds must be claimed in writing not more than 15 business days after cancellation.
LEAD and SASSETA reserve the right to cancel a learning activity should the number of delegates not justify the costs involved. Registered delegates will be given reasonable notice of cancellation.
