LIVE ABOARD

Need to Know Information

1.  Group leader is responsible for keeping the Live Aboard Coordinator updated if extra time is needed for payment, or if any extraordinary circumstances arise.

2.  Please ensure that the number of campers is accurate when final payment is made, as there are absolutely no refunds made after final payment due date.

3.  Groups are checked in as a whole, so try to make sure your group arrives together. If you have late arrivals please notify the LA coordinator.

4.  Participants must be at least 5 years of age.

5.  We require a 1:5 adult to youth ratio onboard for the overnight program.

6.  Each camper must bring his or her own pillow, sleeping bag, toiletries, towel and flashlight. No electronic equipment not absolutely necessary will be allowed.

7.  No carry-on food or drink of any kind will be allowed onboard. (Special circumstances will be considered for those with special dietary needs.)

8.  All campers are assigned specific berthing compartments based on gender and group size. All compartments are air conditioned, heated or well ventilated to keep campers cool or warm!

9.  Lockers are available. Campers need to bring your own lock and key. Please do not leave valuables unattended in the berthing areas.

10. Fire Drills and Fire Watch are an integral part of the Live Aboard Program. Complete cooperation is expected from group participants and leaders.

11. Fire Watch is held when we have 150 or more participants and the procedures are sent along with your confirmation to explain what is expected.

12. All vehicles will be parked under the Harbor Bridge in the Aquarium Parking Lot. All gear must be unloaded prior to boarding the ship.

13. Please check out our website at www.usslexington.com to get an idea of what an itinerary looks like and to check out area attractions as well as other programs offered onboard Lexington.

RULES OF CONDUCT

For Overnight Guests Aboard the USS LEXINGTON

PLEASE SHARE THESE RULES WITH ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR GROUP PRIOR TO ARRIVAL

1.  Discipline is the responsibility of the group leader.

2.  Group or troop leaders must provide adequate adult supervision.

3.  Youth are to be supervised AT ALL TIMES.

4.  Absolutely no running or pushing is permitted on the ship.

5.  Restricted areas are well marked for safety. Do not enter these areas.

6.  Do not touch or turn switches, valves, buttons or handles.

7.  No one is allowed to climb on the aircraft, turn propellers, or open cockpit canopies. Lexington does have an F4 cockpit available to sit in and take pictures.

8.  No one is permitted to leave the ship after dark without permission of the Duty Officer. Anyone leaving the ship after closing time will not be permitted to return.

9.  No food or alcoholic beverages may be brought on board. No food or beverages are to be taken off the hangar deck or down into the berthing compartments.

10. Lexington is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is permitted on the pier only.

11. Out of courtesy to others, groups are asked to maintain silence between the hours of Taps and Reveille. Campers must remain in their sleeping quarters after Taps, as it is a safety hazard on Navy ships to be up and about with lights off. Those unwilling to comply will be asked to leave.

12. Anyone caught tampering with the fire alarm system is subject to immediate expulsion.

Thank you
