Dear HLV Male and Female Seniors:
The Victor American Legion, Post 54, congratulates you on your
approaching graduation. In keeping with the principles and aims
of the Legion to promote education, we are planning to award
two (2) $300scholarships to members of your graduating class.
These scholarships will be awarded without any discriminatory
consideration concerning academics or financial need. Scholarship
recipients will be paid after you are enrolled in the second semester
of your post high school education or at the half way point of your
designated program, whichever comes first. If the recipient fails to
pursue her/his educational plans or drops outbefore the specified
time of payment, the scholarship will be awarded to an alternate, if
applicable.
Presentation of the scholarship will be at the HLV AwardsCeremony.
Please complete the attached application and an essay andreturn it
in hard copy to the HLV Principal’s Office by the date and time listed
on the application form.
