The Oval Racing Expo – Arena Essex Raceway 22/23 January 2011
The Oval Racing Expo will again feature promotional invitation races for NASA Autograss and SEGTO Grasstrack cars. Please note that these races are intended for Grasstrack cars only. If you have a car that is raced primarily on hard surface tracks, please do not enter these races, but contact us as there may be other races on the Expo programme that you could enter.

NASA and SEGTO cars will race together. Entries will be accepted in the following groups. These groups will be combined as necessary so that the total number of races required can be fitted into the promoter’s timetable.

The format for Sunday’s Expo will change from previous years; there will be a later start, fewer classes will be run and races will be organized in heats and finals to make the programme more interesting to the public.
The proposed groups on Sunday are as follows: these groups will be split or combined to suit the number of entries and to fit into the promoter’s timetable.

CARS WILL BE SCRUTINEERED FOR SAFETY AND FOR SUITABILITY TO THE CLASS ENTERED
THE MEETING IS PROMOTED BY THE ROLLING THUNDER SHOW AND HAS NO CONNECTION WITH NASA, SEGTO OR THEIR AFFILIATED CLUBS.
ADVANCE ENTRY IS COMPULSORY – NO DRIVER WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER ON THE DAY.
No advance entry fee is payable. All drivers and other personnel will pay £13.00 (children free) each day on entry to the stadium. Entries will be first come, first served, but only genuine NASA and SEGTO 2010 licence holders with appropriate racing experience will be accepted.
The detailed timetable will be confirmed as soon as possible and published on the event website.

NOTE RE TYRE RULES
Drivers may choose whether to run to the NASA or SEGTO tyre rules applicable to their class. However Scrutineers will reject any tyres considered inappropriate for the track conditions.
Brief summary or permitted tyres:
Production Saloons
Any E-marked road tyre
OR Maxsport or Sportway Autograss tyre suitable for tarmac use.
Maximum rim width 6J
The only Yokohama tyres permitted in the SEGTO rulebook are : A032R, A021R, but the A008R and A539 are also acceptable for this event.
Modified Saloons and Specials
Any tyre up to a MAXIMUM 10” rim width
Outside edges of tyres MUST remain within the confines of the bodywork.
